Traits

Amorphous. The ooze can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.

Beach Morph. As an action, the Aquatic Ooze can blend itself with the beach below it. It can do this on the sand of the beach or on the floor of the ocean or lake. It can not be discerned from the other areas of the beach unless a player succeeds on a Perception or Investigation check against the Ooze's Deception check. For this check, the Ooze has +5 Deception. You have advantage on this check if you saw the ooze dissapear.

Stretch. As a bonus action, the Ooze can stretch in a direction of its choice, allowing it to grab something within 5 ft. of it, or increase its attack reach by 5 ft.

Actions

Pseudopod. +4 to hit, reach 5 ft. (or 10 ft. if ooze uses Stretch bonus action), one creature. Hit: 6 (3d4) acid damage.

Drown. The Ooze reaches towards a creature within 5 ft. of it (10 ft. with Stretch action) and engulfs it. The creature must use the rules for drowning in the players handbook and is restrained. At the end of the creature's turn, it can use its action to make a DC 15 Strength check to escape. On a success, they are released from the Ooze.

Description

An Aquatic Ooze is an ooze that is the result of a Gelatinous Cube spending an extended period of time in a lake or ocean. While retaining the Cube's general ooze appreance, it more like a Ochre Jelly in shape. It is slightly transparent, and has sand, dirt, seaweed, and occasionally fish infused with it. They attack any creatures who disturb their watery lairs, gleefully (if oozes had feelings) feeding the dead body to the local fish.
