I'm also trying to imagine if my druid conjured 8 animals and my DM chose the frogs what in the world my druid would do with them. Frog is literally one of the animals called out in the spell description.

Posted Mar 9, 2021It says in Basic DND Rules that a creature with CR 0 is either worth 0 or 10 XP. It notes specifically that a creature that classifies into CR 0 with no effective attacks(hence 0 DPR) is worth no XP because it doesn't present any challenge at all. It says here the frog has no effective attacks. It should be 0 XP. I found the same problem with the Shrieker stats, because since the Shrieker has no effective attacks, it should be CR 0(0 XP) but it says CR 0(10 XP) on the description. I think the reason why is probably the default XP for CR 0 is 10, so when they made the stats for these monsters, it automatically put in 10 XP. Then again, there is a possibility I'm wrong about that and the Monster Manual stats say 10 XP as well. I'll have to look into that at some point. Either way, the number should be 0 XP and when and if I use the stats for these guys(and the shrieker), I'll have them worth 0 XP. You know, the 0 XP thing makes you wonder, would a creature that has a DPR of 0 but classifies into a CR higher than 0 be worth 0 XP or still worth the normal XP for its challenge rating?
Whew. I kinda said a lot there. The point is, the experience points should say 0 XP.
