I'm happy to share that the D&D Beyond mobile app has now entered the beta phase and is available to the public in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
For the initial beta release, we have focused on eReader access for all of your Compendium content. Other parts of the DDB toolset - such as the spells, magic items, and monsters listings, homebrew creation, or the character builder/ sheet - will be added in later phases of the beta. We'll share more about those elements when we have updates.
Just as with the website beta period, the Compendium forms the backbone of everything that comes after it, so we're taking a similar approach for the mobile app. We truly appreciate your help during beta testing to polish the app further and prepare for the future phases.
For now, enjoy the freedom of having your D&D digital library available anytime, anywhere!
Note: If you participated in the alpha, we highly recommend that you uninstall/ delete the alpha version of the app and use a fresh beta install!

Posted May 22, 2018Love the app and the ability to check the books from it, but, just as most people request, when are we going to get character builder there? I would give it 5* with it, only gave 3* without. the monsters, items and spells database would also be welcome .

Posted May 23, 2018I know that, but personally think going character creator->compendium > others would have been the best release path, I have full intention to grow my rating with releases, for what is released is already 5*, been using to get some reads on my work intervals and actually thinking to rise the rank as such

Posted Jul 21, 2018The poster map links of „Tomb of Annihilation“ are not accessible in the D&D Beyond app (both IOS and android), while working perfectly fine in Safari (no zoom available on android Chrome). The app instead only shows the cover art of the adventure.

Posted Aug 4, 2018This needs to be fixed. I cant read the books I have bought.
And the app needs the feature to use at least one charactersheet.

Posted Aug 5, 2018Is what I buy in the app usable in the character editor online, or compendium only? I want to buy a book with some google play credit I have left but I do want to use that content in my character building.

Posted Aug 5, 2018Yes - purchasing a source in the mobile app unlocks that book's content in the toolset.

Posted Aug 5, 2018Currently there are no plans for it (as of last podcast I've seen), I'd really hope they'd do it or release a separated app for it

Posted Aug 5, 2018It is planned - but they have a lot of work to do first (getting the searchable info that we see online into the offline app to start with) - on the last Q&A Adam confirmed that they have NOT started coding yet, so we can expect it is phase 3/4/5 of the mobile app (with phase 2 being the fully searchable content).

Posted Aug 13, 2018I hope they eventually decide to support it. I recently went shopping for a cheap tablet, purely to use as a one-device reference book at the table. As I looked around, I remember thinking how much better suited the Fire tablets would've been to the task, since you can sometimes get them as cheap as $30. I think I could keep my cool if someone spilled a beer on that.
