At Dungeons & Dragons, we spend a lot of time thinking about what makes D&D unforgettable. It’s not just the dice. It’s not just the monsters. And it’s definitely not just words on a page.
It’s the people around the table, and what can happen when players bring their own creativity to the official materials that help shape the game.
That spirit is at the heart of Dungeon Masters, the new official D&D actual play anthology series where electrifying players turn official game content into a story worth remembering.
A New Official D&D Actual Play Begins
Dungeon Masters' first campaign combines a gripping actual play set in Ravenloft with a Play-Along Pack that lets fans go deeper into the adventure and the world behind the screen.
The premiere event on April 22 features episodes 1 and 2. You can catch new episodes every Wednesday at 6:30 PM PST on D&D's YouTube channel.
Campaign 1: Ravenloft

Anyone who has faced off against Strahd or got lost in the Mists surrounding Lamordia knows Ravenloft isn't an ordinary campaign setting.
While some realms are training grounds where heroes forge their legends, Ravenloft snuffs the light of intrepid adventurers by plunging them into their own personal nightmares. They might survive, they might escape, but they'll have to come to terms with the cost that needs to be paid.
Inspired by the dreadful setting, character options, and monsters in Ravenloft: The Horrors Within, the first campaign of Dungeon Masters opens with a fractured band of unlikely allies becoming trapped in a haunted land ruled by the infamous fallen paladin, Lord Soth.
What begins as a desperate search for a way home soon becomes an apocalyptic struggle, as Soth’s fury threatens to consume everything and everyone within his crumbling Domain of Dread.
Meet the Cast and Heroes

Dungeon Masters stars Jasmine Bhullar (DesiQuest, Dimension 20) as Dungeon Master, joined by Mayanna Berrin (Dispatch, The Dungeon Run), Christian Navarro (13 Reasons Why, Forgotten Realms), Neil Newbon (Baldur’s Gate III), and Devora Wilde (Baldur’s Gate III).
Together, they bring the nightmare of Ravenloft to life through a party made up:
- Crem, a Reanimator Artificer, played by Neil
- Eloin, a Winter Walker Ranger, played by Christian
- Wesley, a Grave Domain Cleric, played by Mayanna
- Zora, a Hexblood Shadow Sorcerer, played Devora

Dungeon Masters Play-Along Packs

Sometimes the ideas that we bring to the table come from the stories we watch, read, and play.
Dungeon Masters is an actual play series built to inspire your own table through encounters, characters, creatures, and story hooks that you can easily bring into your campaign. To help you translate what you see on the big screen to your table, we've created a Ravenloft Play-Along Pack—weekly ready-to-run encounters and quickplay maps inspired by the episode.
Each encounter contains:
- Hook. A hook and situation overview to add context to the encounter.
- Quickplay Map. A map that is ready to run as a quickplay map on the Maps VTT.
- Early Access Monster. Early access to a monster of the week from Ravenloft: The Horrors Within.
The encounters in these packs stem from ideas Jasmine had planned for, but as with every D&D campaign, characters can take unexpected paths or make choices that send the story in a different direction.
These situations have been adapted for play rather than to recreate exact scenes from the show, making it easier to bring them to your table no matter where your adventures take you.
Get Ready to Claim Your Free Encounter
All fans can claim the first encounter in the Ravenloft Play-Along Pack for free on D&D Beyond starting April 23, and subsequent packs will continue to be released weekly on Thursday mornings.
To get access to these further drops and play along with the show, pre-order Ravenloft: The Horrors Within on D&D Beyond.
Come Roll With Us
Dungeon Masters is our love letter to D&D. It celebrates the people at the table. It delivers a gripping story in the game’s most iconic settings. And it connects that excitement back to the tools fans can use to create adventures of their own.
The party is assembled. The Mists are swirling. Come roll with us.

Posted Apr 24, 2026MeiLu2019. Apparently the artwork of Tiamat was done by Antonio José Manzanedo (the person who did the cover art for Tyranny of Dragons), but he hasn't made any posts about it from what I've seen, but it could be that we might get the artwork as another alt-art for Tyranny of Dragons or hell maybe we could get a new book for Tiamat and the Cult of the Dragon in a similar manner to Ravenloft: The Horrors Within?

Posted Apr 24, 2026Let's use the wrong spell, say it's a cleric's level 10 feature, and use the wrong action economy too.

Posted Apr 29, 2026This is very entertaining, and the gameplay is fantastic as well. Love the DM, love the players, love it all. The tagalong goblin child has been a hilarious addition so far. Looking forward to the next episode!
