June 11, 2026 Update: Master Tier subscribers can now share the Drops library through content sharing.
Hello world!
Last month, we launched D&D Beyond Drops: a new way for Hero Tier and Master Tier subscribers to get play-ready content on D&D Beyond every single week.
Since launch, we’ve been reading your comments, questions, forum posts, Reddit threads, Discord conversations, survey responses, and support tickets. First, thank you for the depth and richness of your feedback.
It’s become clear from your feedback that there were two main things we got wrong with D&D Beyond Drops: content sharing and non-subscriber access.
We are working to have a solution to both of these in the next few weeks.
Content Sharing
We made the business decision to not make Drops content eligible for Master Tier content sharing. It’s clear that was not the right decision and we need to find a way to give Master Tier subscribers the ability to content share Drops. We have been taking another look and expect to have an update on the feasibility of content sharing in the next few weeks.
Availability for Non-Subscribers
We didn’t tell players about any way in which they could get DDB Drops content without having a subscription. While this was a possibility we had discussed internally, we made the wrong choice at rollout not to commit to anything yet. I’m here to correct that today. We will commit to releasing at least yearly D&D Beyond Drops bundles on the D&D Beyond marketplace every year (in May), covering the previous year’s content and purchasable for all players. We have ways to further augment this with player feedback. For now, I wanted to make that baseline commitment clear.
Stay Tuned For Updates
Please keep telling us what you want to see. Tell us what you’re using. Tell us what you’re not using. Tell us what would make Drops more valuable at your table. We’re continuing to read and listen.

Posted Jun 11, 2026I'm not going to allow any of my players access to things that other players don't have equal access to.
"Well, just use pen and paper then, you can just write it down, idiot."
Why the hell am I bothering with this subscription if we have to revert to pen and paper to keep things fair?
The entire point was to have everything run cleanly in the ap.
You aren't going to gain 4 new subscriptions here, you're just going to lose my one.

Posted Jun 12, 2026You don't even need to write anything on paper, you can add the spells\feats\backgrounds to your player's character sheet where they can be used by your player.

Posted Jun 15, 2026I commend your attempt to make an obvious attempt to force everyone to subscribe to D&D Beyond look reasonable. You failed, all the same, but commendable to offer the bare minimum of a concession.
If you want my money, just offer the drops for sale individually as they drop in your marketplace. I don't have disposable income for the price point of your bulk drops. I may have $5-10 to spare monthly/weekly to throw your way though.
To be clear, your product isn't worth being billed monthly.
Your product isn't worth saving up for a year to get - or worth the wait.
Rethink what you're offering.. and, I mean this in the most honest way possible, genuinely try to think about what it is you're offering from the perspective of your consumer base with a very realistic look at the the world they live in.
The vast majority of us do NOT like subscription models. We can all see its a blatant cash grab to get around actually production of a quality product.
Anyone who uses Adobe products can tell you that the service they provide is a much poorer offer from the product they used to sell.
I hope you do better.
Also, your letter sounds like sanitized PR jargon.

Posted Jun 16, 2026They are. In a yearly roundup.
If you have $2.17 a month to... "throw their way"... that's the price of a subscription to get access to ALL current drops.
