Hey everyone!
We have an update on the site performance issues related to the D&D Beyond Forums that have been occurring recently. We're still investigating the root cause, but we hypothesize the Play-by-Post forums (and players' heavy use of the forum's Dice Roller) are our primary suspects.
As an additional precaution while we continue our investigation, we will place the Play-by-Post forums behind a D&D Beyond login.
How Does This Affect my PbP Game?
It won't! If you're already logged in to D&D Beyond, nothing will change. If you're logged out of the site, you won't be able to see the Play-by-Post section of the forums until you log in. Your games aren't being moved or otherwise changed in any way.
Thanks for your continued patience as we work to resolve this issue. We'll keep you posted!

Posted Jun 30, 2026Logged in and getting “Module Disabled” message. Gave up on forum dice roller long ago for the game log, which does require a campaign/character sheet.

Posted Jul 1, 2026So... you're trying to kill Play by Post?
I mean not overtly or anything. You don't want to just shut it down 'cause that may lead to bad PR. But you continuously shut down the forums lately eliminating PBP ability to play, you are now blaming PBP players for the problems and you're blocking people not logged in from knowing there is PBP at all?
Sorry, maybe I'm jumping to conclusions here... But also customers don't care how the sausage is made, just that it tastes good. I pay for various Beyond goods and services due to the Play by Post. I don't care how you make PBP work, just make it work or my buying of your goods will end... And, of course, I'll make fun of Beyond and Wizards for not being able to even make a gd message board work.
