D&D Beyond is excited to announce the release of the all-new, consolidated D&D Beyond App! Gone are the days of two separate apps: we’ve combined the power of the D&D Beyond toolset with new mobile features to make your Dungeons & Dragons 5th-edition games more accessible and more fun. The app is available to download for free on iOS and Android.
The toolset makes it easier to reference D&D content, with features ranging from a guided character creation, dynamic character sheets and spell management, plus the ability to search and bookmark books in your library. The app is the perfect mobile solution for every D&D player — whether you’re a new player, a veteran campaigner, or legendary Dungeon Master.
Play with Advantage
Mobile character creation is easier with the character builder tool walking you through every step of the character creation process. You’ll never have to enter a game without your character sheet again — access your characters online or offline and be ready for skill checks, attack rolls, saving throws, or whatever twists your DM throws at you. Manage your character's health, abilities, spells, and inventory.
Forgot your dice? Roll directly in the app with themed digital dice sets!
Dungeon Masters will enjoy the ability to easily access monster stat blocks and game rules in the D&D Beyond App. Bookmark your favorite monsters or frequently used rules, search spells, and gaze longingly over your backlog of characters you'd love to play (some day, maybe...).
What if I already own the Player App or Reader App?
Adventurers who have the D&D Beyond Player App will simply need to update the app to access the new tools! If you are using the D&D Beyond Reader App, you'll need to migrate over to the new app.
So excited, been using both apps for a while now. Anyone know when it'll be out? Like a specific date? If not that's ok though.
when can we expect this update?
Soooooo can we get a way to make sidekicks yet?
So, is it ready yet?
I admit I don’t know, but I went ahead a jotted down my most important bookmarks just in case.
I approve this message
Can we fix the Bag of Holding to put things in it and reduce encumberance?
Maybe, but it has nothing to do with the app, so this is the wrong thread to ask in
I do like this idea, but I also like having the app separate so that is easier to jump between them, being honest I have only played online with DND beyond since I joined in Lockdown thanks to the books being great online. I used to play twice a week in person but always using books. I am looking forward to June to playing in person again with my DND club Tabletop Tavern and trying out using the app.

I'd really enjoy it if iPhone and iPad would feel like they have as much access to my DDB as my web browser does. Also my iPad is an older device, so I really hope they make it work on the iPad that I really have...
As it currently stands the ability to Bookmark in the DDB app is so crippled it's unusable - while I keep dreaming of the day I could have bookmarks on the web layout <3 They could fix this maybe?
Also as it stands the Player app doesn't let me edit anyone who's on it, so a list of PC created entries is grand and all, but I still cannot help my dad finish his character from there. D'oh.
When's the release date? So excited!
Sounds like a party, having all the key tools needed to run as session at my fingertips.
Let's go! When I downloaded the apps, I thought it would be similar to the website itself, and was very confused at the limited amount of features in both of the apps. I am so glad that it's getting an update1
Great, I'll be designing adventures while driving home.
When will be available?
Brilliant!!!
This sounds awesome!
I'm exited!
Awesome!
Ayyyyy just in time for a new campaign idea
