Homebrew Entiran Human Race Details

Humans are an inquisitive and intensely competitive race that excels at planning and being prepared for any situation. They live primarily in the Sageocracy, a sprawling civilization on the southern continent of Shul. Humans engage with many rivalries—between each other and between themselves and other races. The entire model of the Sageocracy features numerous competing colleges that work together to advance human interests while also serving as checks on each others’ influence.

Humans are stocky compared to elven and mao. Men stand about six feet tall while women are slightly shorter. They are olive-skinned with some variation from light to dark. Both their eyes and hair are earth-toned in color, and their eyes in particular are desaturated compared to elven eyes.

Remnants of an Empire

The Sageocracy is widely believed to be what’s left of a vast human civilization that dominated Entira over a millennia ago. However, there is scant information available on that civilization, and while the Sageocracy does promote this belief, it tends to suppress any actual information on the empire itself.

Master Sages

The Sageocracy practices an approach to magic known as the Sage Model. The Sage Model emphasizes the focused development of singularly powerful magicians instead of cultivating a broad magical aptitude in the magic-using population. The most powerful sages serve on the Council of Sages, which functions as the Sageocracy’s de facto government. The Council is officially responsible only for advising the colleges, but it also oversees the administrative functions and sets the overall policy direction of the Sageocracy.
