Homebrew Dracobold Species Details
Dracobold Overview
Dracobolds are rare hybrid beings, the result of a unique blend of kobold cunning and draconic majesty. Bearing the fiery resilience and latent power of dragons alongside the small, agile stature of kobolds, they walk a fine line between acceptance and suspicion in many societies. Most Dracobolds conceal their true nature, adopting the guise of ordinary kobolds to avoid drawing attention, but those who embrace their hybrid identity often strive to prove themselves as something greater.
Physical Description
Dracobolds are slightly taller and sturdier than typical kobolds, standing around 3 to 4 feet tall. Their scales often gleam with a metallic or fiery sheen, a clear nod to their draconic heritage. Small, curved horns and sharp facial features set them apart, while their tails, more muscular and prehensile than most kobolds, assist with balance and agility.
Their eyes are bright and expressive, often hinting at the latent magical energy within. Dracobolds tend to favor lightweight, practical clothing or armor, often tailored to their unique physiology. Those wishing to blend in with kobolds will keep their more draconic traits concealed, sometimes wearing hoods or cloaks.
Society
Dracobolds have no society of their own, as their existence is often the result of rare circumstances. Many grow up among kobolds or dragonborn, where they are either ostracized or seen as unique tools of destiny. Despite their draconic blood, Dracobolds often face the same challenges as kobolds, being underestimated and undervalued by larger, more dominant species.
Their natural resilience and resourcefulness make them skilled adventurers and survivors, and they often find kinship among those who are similarly misunderstood or outcast.

The damage increases to 2d10 at 6th level, 3d10 at 11th level, and 4d10 at 17th level. After you use your breath weapon, you can’t use it again until you complete a short or long rest.
