Arcane Imbibing:
Is a spell of enchanting major arcane energies into an object. It is the quintessential, base, spell needed in order to create a properly functioning Arcane Engine.
It can enchant armor with added Armor Class and for every 2 spell slot levels the AC added increases.
- using a 3rd level spell slot will give a +1 to AC
- 5th level spell slot will give a +2 to AC
- 7th level spell slot will give a +3 to AC
- etc
Light Armor cannot exceed +5 AC
Medium Armor cannot exceed +4 AC
Heavy Armor cannot exceed +3 AC
Shields cannot exceeding +4 AC, so max bonus a shield can give with the enchantment is +6 AC
It can also enchant weapons with added arcane damage on successful attacks.
For every 2 spell slot levels the damage added increases:
- using a 3rd level spell slot will give +4 arcane damage
- 5th level spell slot will give +8 arcane damage
- 7th level spell slot will give +12 arcane damage
- etc
Only items that are lightly enchanted or non-enchanted items may be enchanted.
"lightly enchanted" refers to items with only base additions, example: a +1 short sword
* - (The target item to be enchanted.)
