You utter a word of power that can compel one creature you can see within range to die instantly. If the creature you choose has 100 hit points or fewer, it dies. Otherwise, the spell has no effect.
be older than 15. Play dnd3. We sling save or die spells there at lvl 7.
Imagine being so narrow-minded, that u call the latest thing "all of".
at 20th level, wizards have 2 6th and 2 7th spell slots, so you could cast it 2 times if it was for either a 6th spell or 7th spell , while saving your 9th level spells for something of a more pizzaz. I think I see a problem
Does this spell override that thing some legendary creatures have? The ability that when they go to 0 health, they go back up to a certain amount and have mythic actions afterward. Since this spell automatically kills the target (if it under 100 health), does it skip past 0 health and the ability doesn't activate?
sounds strong
It kills outright, don't drop to 0, don't pass go, do not collect $200.
this killed my friend it made me sad :(
Probably the latter.
I like to imagine the power word sounds something like "Hey guys, did you know that Vaporeon"
As a DM, you have to meta game to use this spell
As a player, its hit or miss
Incorrect
Avada kedavra
0 HP and save is knocking them unconscious, so i think (but might be wrong) it's just roll new PC
Kill as in roll a new PC.
Both
works like 3 failed saves I imagine, revivify, raise dead, resurrect, and true Resurrection still work here.
It should be a DC 20 con save
I swear use Quicken spell w/ SP As a sorcerer >:D
I know this line of comments is quite old, but just in case anyone sees it and is misled: the Voice of the Chain Master Eldritch Invocation allowing the Warlock to speak through their Familiar does not interact with spellcasting in any way. Totally understandable for one to misunderstand this with a thematic reading of the feature, but since it lacks language referring to "spells with only a Verbal component" or somesuch, it does nothing to extend the limitations of spell delivery from the Find Familiar spell.
To be clear, this spell does NOT drop the target to 0 Hit Points. It instantly kills the target. The only things that can save you are having more than 100 Hit Points (temporary Hit Points are not counted), being immune to spells, or having a Death Ward on you.
roll a new PC
