Damage/Effect

You draw upon the earth's latent iron, shaping it with your will. Choose one of the following effects:

  • Bludgeoning Weapon: You create a simple bludgeoning weapon, such as a mace or club, in your hand. This weapon functions the same as its standard crafted version.
  • Limb Encasement: You encase your arms and legs in raw iron, granting you a +1 bonus to all unarmed strike damage rolls.
  • Iron Shield: You create a crude iron shield, granting you a +2 bonus to AC until the start of your next turn.

At Higher Levels:

  •  5th Level: You can now choose one of the following additional effects:
  • Piercing Weapon: You create a simple piercing weapon, such as a spear or dagger, in your hand. This weapon functions the same as its standard crafted version
  • Full Body Encasement: You encase your entire body in raw iron, granting you the equivalent of plate armor until the start of your next turn.
  • Fast Hands of Iron: If you choose to encase your arms or legs, your unarmed strikes have an additional +1 to hit.

  • 11th Level: You can now choose one of the following additional effects:
  • Slashing Weapon: You create a simple slashing weapon, such as a sword or axe, in your hand. This weapon functions the same as its standard crafted version
  • Enhanced Strikes: If you choose to encase your arms or legs, your unarmed strikes deal an additional 1d6 terra (bludgeoning) damage.

  •  17th Level: The items you create from this spell become permanent until you dismiss them.

Note: The damage dealt by weapons created with Ferrum is considered magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to non-magical attacks and damage.
