This spell animates a single corpse or skeleton that is medium or smaller that you can see within range, turning it in to an Undead Creature until the spell ends. As part of casting this spell you target a creature within 30 feet of the Undead Creature. The Undead Creature immediately moves as close as it can to the target (up to fifteen feet) and screams. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw.
On a failed save, the target suffers 2d4 psychic damage and, until the spell ends, is compelled to use any available Action, Bonus Action, and Reaction to destroy the Undead Creature. The Undead Creature uses the Undead Creature Stat Block below. The spell ends when the Undead Creature is reduced to zero hit points.
On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage and the spell ends.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell at 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d4 for each slot level above 1st and the Undead Creature’s AC equals 11 + the level of the spell.
