You miraculously transform sticks to snake and vice versa. When you cast the spell, choose one of the following options, the effects of which last for the duration of the spell. On subsequent turns, you can use your action to freely transform any target affected by this spell between its normal form and its new form.
Sticks to Snakes. Choose up to 4 pieces of non-magical wood, (e.g. sticks, torches, staves, planks, spears, etc.) within range. They instantly transform into poisonous snakes under your control. If a target of this spell is being either held or carried by an unwilling creature, that creature can make a Charisma saving throw. On a success, the target is unaffected.
The snakes are friendly to you and your companions. Roll initiative for the snakes as a group, which has its own turns. They obey any verbal commands that you issue to them (no action required by you). If you don't issue any commands to them, they defend themselves from hostile creatures, but otherwise take no actions.
When you create 10 or more snakes using this spell, they gather into a swarm of poisonous snakes. The swarm of poisonous snakes follows the same rules as poisonous snakes created by this spell. The swarm of poisonous snakes gains bonuses depending on the number of snakes it is formed from. Consult the chart below.

A creature reverts to its normal form when its hit points drop to 0. When reverted in this way, the normal form crumbles into dust and is destroyed.
Snakes to Sticks. You attempt to turn snakes into inert pieces of wood. When you choose this option, any snake-like beast (e.g. poisonous snakes, constrictor snakes, etc.) of your choice within range must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be transformed into a wooden object (e.g. stick, branch, log, etc.) equal to the size of its normal form. This spell has no effect on a shapechanger or a creature with 0 hit points.
This new form has the following changes to its statistics:
- Armor Class 10
- Vulnerability to fire
The target retains the hit points of its original form. An object reverts to its normal form when its hit points drop to 0. When reverted in this way, the normal form is killed.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, you can target an additional 1d4 pieces of non-magical wood per spell level.

Posted Dec 29, 2019Many homebrew duplicates of the Sticks to Snake spell exist on D&D Beyond, but this IMO is one of the better ones. Good work.
For clarity, I suggest changing "When you create 10 or more snakes using this spell" to "When you create 10 or more snakes using a higher level slot (see below)".
For snakes to stick, I have personally made the following modification, loosely based on the DMG ch 8 object hit points rules, and other "polymorph"-type spells:

Posted Dec 29, 2019I went ahead a created my own version, acknowledging your version as the source. I changed a few things, including making the Snakes to Sticks option function similarly to the sleep spell. (As written in the version I suggested above or in your version, there is no limit to the number of snakes you can transform.)
You can see my version here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/339569-sticks-to-snakes
