Base Class: Barbarian
Throughout the universe there are few undisputable laws of physics that magic can't consistently break without tremendous stress or power one of these forces being gravity. Some barbarian's have learned to harness this fundamental force. Barbarian's that follow this path in order to control the battle field either by creating distance between allies and enemies, or implementing gravity to unleash devastating attacks.
Gravity Field
Starting at 3rd level you magically emanate an aura of intense gravity while you are raging this aura extends 10 feet from you in every direction, but not through full cover. While raging you produce the following effects
- The ground within your aura is considered difficult terrain for both allies and enemies (excluding the user)
- As a bonus action on your turn you can make one creature of a size category of medium or smaller feel the tremendous force of your gravity field. The target must make a strength saving throw on a failure the target is knocked prone. Your DC for this ability is equal to 8+ proficiency bonus+ constitution modifier.
Inertia Burst
When you choose this path at 3rd level, you learn how to infuse the momentum of your weapon with the gravitational force of your anger. Once per turn when you hit a creature with a melee attack you may choose to deal an additional 2D6 force damage to the attack. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all uses when you finish a long rest.
Once you reach 10th level, you regain all uses whenever you finish a short or long rest.
Density Shift
Starting at 6th level, you learn to manipulate how gravity affects you. When determining your jump distance add a number of feet equal to your Constitution Score. Also whenever you fall and not incapacitated, you can subtract up to 100 feet from your fall when calculating fall damage and can move 2 feet horizontally for every 1 foot vertically.
Specialized Aspect
Once you reach 10th level, you gain increased control over forces within your immediate area. Choose one of the following options, whenever you gain a level in this class you may replace this option with another option listed below.
Dominant Force
You have trained the effects of your gravity field in such a way to make whatever you say final.
- While raging if you are subjugated to an effect that either changes your distance from the ground (examples: levitate, reverse gravity), or would knock you prone you may use a reaction to cancel the effect on yourself.
- When your bonus action to activate gravity field you may expend a charge inertia burst to add additional strain to your opponent reducing its speed to 0 until the start of your next turn. You may use this ability after the effects of the roll.
Extended Force
You have trained the effects of your forces in such a way to increase the range and distance of certain abilities.
- While raging the aura of your gravity field increases to a 15 foot radius.
- You store the gravitational force within your weapon (it counts as a special ranged attack), and as an action you may spend a charge of inertia burst to make a ranged attack against a creature you can see within 60 feet. This damage equals 3D6 + Constitution modifier in force damage.
Intense Force
You have trained the effects of your force in such a way to create heavy waves of intense pressure capable of injuring multiple foes or knocking down foes of a larger size.
- While raging creatures with a size category of large are able to be knocked prone due to your gravity field ability as long as they are partially within the radius of your gravity field.
- When a creature you can see moves into a space within 10 feet of you or starts its turn there, you can use your reaction to deal half your barbarian level (rounded down) in force damage to all creatures within your gravity field.
Event Horizon
Beginning at 14th level you have obtained mastery of forces within you immediate area. As an action you can choose a number of creatures equal to your proficiency bonus within 30 feet to make a strength saving throw, creatures of a sizes category of huge or larger do so with advantage. On a failure a creature takes 2D12 force damage and is pulled 15 feet towards you, if the creature is pulled within 5 feet of you may make a melee attack against one creature as part of this action. On a success a creature takes half the damage and is not moved. Once you use this feature you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.

Posted Dec 26, 2021Hey, just posted this subclass and wanted some honest feedback on this subclass. This class is partially inspired by critical roles (both the gravity wizard and Ashton's gravity build), and this is my first time attempting to make homebrew content that I've meant to post.
