Base Class: Fighter
Impalers thrive on the dark, and even feel calmer around it, many try to balanced out the darkness with light
Dark Origins
At 3rd level any melee weapon you hold now has the thrown property with 30 to 120 foot range. When you attack someone with a ranged attack and it lands, it pierces into them causing them to take that damage die again once at the beginning of their turns, they can pull it out by making a strength check with a DC of 8 plus your proficiency bonus plus your strength modifier however if the creature you are fighting is Medium Size or smaller than they will be knocked prone and the weapon will not pierce them, when pulling your weapon from a corpse if you do not pass a DC of 10 that weapon breaks.
At 3rd level you learn more about the shadows that have been dancing from your body, you can now hold your weapons inside your shadow these weapons can be pulled from your shadow at any time however you may only have ten weapons inside your shadow at one time. Once a weapon is inside your shadow it is no longer counted inside your inventory.
Darkness Consuming
At 7th level you understand even more as the shadows cover your arms and wisps off like smoke, using them to enhance your throws, you now lodge your weapons deeper into the target, any creature that is struck and pierced by your weapons now has disadvantage on taking them out.
At 7th Level you can now pull your weapons from any shadow within your reach.
Shadow Evolution
At 10th Level you can now hold 15 weapons
At 10th level the shadows you command now embed deeper into your target, they now take an extra die of that weapon's damage making it 2 dice instead of 1.
Growing Darkness
At 15th level you have gained even more control over the shadows, now they cover your legs and chest like armor, and you gain a +1 to your AC.
At 15th level you have learned to haul your weapons from the shadows, you may now attack from any shadows in a 120 foot square as if you were making a range attack your ranged attacks also keep there range as well, however it cannot be a shadow in the same square as a creature for example if you attack from a shadow that is 120 feet away from you, your weapon can still go one 120 feet and you still have disadvantage.
Dark Void Expansion
At 18th Level you have mastered the shadows, they are now part of your body and cover one side almost completely and come off almost like a raging flame, you can now hold 20 weapons in total in your shadow, you add a +2 to your AC and you can now use all the weapon you have stored in your shadow to make ranged attacks with each of them, each dealing 3d8 piercing damage this also consumes your extra attack(s).

Posted Jun 15, 2023Not sure how something that's Medium sized or smaller can't be pierced by any bladed weapons, but anything that's Large or larger can be pierced by a club. The size rule seems backwards as heck, and there should definitely be a rule about whether or not the weapon does bludgeoning damage or not.
