Base Class: Barbarian
While it is generally the case that barbarians utilize their rage and strength to fight on the frontlines, being devastating tanks and damage dealers, there is yet a primal path that emphasizes distance and striking from beyond an enemy’s reach. Many heroes of legend have been such, including Heracles, Apollo, etc.
The Path of the Titan Bow delves into this kind of god-archer power.
The Titan's Bow
Starting at 3rd level, when you choose this Barbarian Path, you can fashion a longbow out of the bones, carapaces, or dried organic matter of your defeated enemies. As you fashion this bow, you pour into it your Barbarian Rage, aggression, and bloodlust. While you are raging, you can add a second 1d8 die roll to your damage as well as the normal rage damage bonus while raging.
(If you gain a magical longbow, you can take a long rest to disassemble your Titan Bow and reassemble it to incorporate the magical weapon as its core; when firing with a magic longbow inside the Titan Bow. The magical bow then counts as your Titan Bow with the TItan Bow's added 1d8 damage)
Herculean Hunter
At 3rd level, when you take this Barbarian Path, your Rage changes its effects. Instead of affecting or enhancing the Barbarian's physical strength, it affects the Barbarian's Dexterity.
- You have advantage on Dexterity checks and Dexterity saving throws.
- When you make a ranged weapon attack with your Titan Bow, you gain a bonus to the damage roll that increases as you gain levels as a barbarian, as shown in the Rage Damage column of the Barbarian table.
- You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
Additionally, if your DM allows it, you can switch your STR and DEX scores if your Strength score is higher than your Dexterity.
Up Close and Personal
Barbarians are known for looking death in the face and laughing, and the Titan Bow Barbarian is no exception, even when in melee range. Upon reaching level 6 Barbarian, melee range does not impose disadvantage while raging and attacking with your Titan Bow.
Additionally, a melee-range Titan Bow attack counts as a Critical Hit if with a die roll of 18-20.
Wrathful Flight
When you reach 10th Barbarian Level, you can use your bonus action while raging to instantly teleport yourself up to 5 ft away from where your arrow from your Titan Bow lands. If your arrow strikes a creature, you teleport into a space adjacent to them. If you do not fire at an enemy but rather at a destination, as long as the space is empty, you can teleport there, and as long as you attack something or take damage that round, you keep your rage up.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Huntsman of the Old Gods
When you reach 14th level, you are infused with the spirit of the hunt, awakening a near demigod wrath within you. As a bonus action (while raging), you can use this feature to transform yourself into an Avatar of the Hunt for 1 minute. While using this feature, you gain the following benefits:
- You can fire two arrows from your Titan Bow when you would normally fire one (two attack rolls and two damage rolls per attack).
- If you critically hit a target, that target must make a Constitution saving throw (DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier). On a failed save, the target is Stunned.
- If you kill an enemy while using this feature, you gain 2 x your Barbarian Level temporary hit points.
You can use this feature up to a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain expended uses after a Long Rest.

Posted May 28, 2022i really Like the premise and I wish there was an official subclass that allowed Barbarians to effectively use a bow, this does it relatively well but some abilities are a little powerful when compared to some other classes. I thought I'd give some constructive criticism ie: 18-20 crits at LVL 6 is insane especially when the champion fighter doesn't get that until much higher levels, same with the LVL 14 ability, 4 attacks at level 14 is crazy. despite all that I absolutely love the premise, but instead of changing the Range bonuses to Dex, I think it would be better if you just allowed them to use str for the titan bow attacks.
Keep up the good work tho.
