Monks of the Way of the Healing Staff master techniques with the staff becoming one with this weapon of choice, in combat ,defense , and life
One with the Staff
Your attacks with the staff count as unarmed strikes in regards to any Monk Abilities.
Enlightened Spirit
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain additional Ki Points equal to your Wisdom modifier.
Spinning Staff Defense
At 3rd level As a bonus action, you can spend a ki point to spin the staff around your body, to create a deflection barrier around your body, creating a +3 deflection bonus to your AC until your next turn.
Unlocking the Chakras
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your knowledge of the flow of ki through living things allows you to encourage healing within yourself and others.
You gain proficiency in medicine
As a Bonus Action, you may touch a willing creature and expend any number of Ki Points. That creature may immediately expend a number of hit dice less than or equal to the amount of Ki Points you spent to regain hit points. When hit dice are expended in this way, they are treated as having rolled their maximum value.
When you reach 5th level in this class, you may expend 3 Ki Points to cast Lesser Restorationwithout providing material components .
Whirlwind Attack
Beginning at 6th level You can attack all enemies within 5 feet of you with a whirlwind attack, making a separate attack against each.
Opportunistic Strike
You can use your reaction to make an attack with your staff in any of the following circumstances. If you are struck by and dealt damage by an enemy within 5 feet. If an enemy creature within 5 feet is struck by someone else. If an enemy within 5 feet attacks an ally. If an enemy within 5 feet casts a spell or makes a ranged attack.
You may also use this ability to spend 1 Ki point to apply cure wounds using your staff to touch an ally that is within 5 feet
A creature you touch regains a number of hit points equal to 1d8 + your wisdom ability modifier. This ability has no effect on undead or constructs.
At Higher Levels. When you apply this ability using additional Ki points, the healing increases by 1d8 for each Ki point beyond the 1st.
Spiritual Empathy
At 6th level, your mastery of ki allows you to bring out the best in people while granting you a keen advantage in situations where empathy is key.
When you make an Animal Handling, Insight, or Persuasion ability check, you may spend 1 Ki Point to roll an additional d20. You ca choose to use this feature after you roll the die, but before the outcome is determined. You choose which of the d20s is used for the ability check. You may only use this option once per ability check.
Additionally, as an action you can spend 3 Ki Points to cast Calm Emotionsor Enhance Abilitywithout providing material components. When cast in this way, you may spend additional Ki Points to increase the casting level of Enhance Abilityby 1 for each Ki Point spent, to a maximum level equal to your Proficiency Bonus. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
Ki Sight
Beginning at 11th level, you can attune yourself to the ki within all living things, allowing you to sense their location.
As an Action, you may expend any number of Ki Points to activate your Ki Sight. Your Ki Sight lasts for a number of minutes equal to the amount of Ki Points spent to activate it, until you dismiss it as a Bonus Action, or until you lose concentration as if concentrating on a spell.
While Ki Sight is active, you know the location of all creatures within 90 feet of you granting you vision of these creatures at all times. While a creature is located with Ki Sense it gains no benefits against you from being obscured, hidden, the invisibility condition, or if you are suffering from the blinded condition; you do not suffer penalties from being obscured or blinded when attacking or perceiving a creature located with Ki Sense. You also know a creature's size and creature type.
Your Ki Sight can penetrate barriers, but 2 feet of rock, 2 inches of any metal other than lead, or a thin sheet of lead blocks you. Constructs and Undead are immune to the effects of Ki Sight.
Master of Life’s Forces
At 17th level, you have mastered the art of invigorating ki within yourself and others, forever altering your potential.
When an ally within 30 feet of you fails a saving throw, you may use your Reaction and expend 1 Ki Point to allow them to reroll the save. They must use the second result.
Additionally, when you finish a Short Rest you may regain a number of hit dice equal to your Wisdom Modifier. Once you use this feature, you must finish a Long Rest before you can use it again
