Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

As a Barbarian who follows the Path of the Battle Strategist, you understand the necessity for calm in times of struggle. When you rage, it does not show outwardly. Instead, your mind focuses, allowing you to assess the battlefield and pinpoint enemy weaknesses, while better covering your own.

Tactical Assessment

Beginning at third level, your intellect and discipline allow you to better assess the battlefield. While you are raging, when a creature you can see within 60 feet of you makes a weapon attack against you, you can use your reaction to make an insight check against their deception. If you succeed, you can make an opportunity attack against them as part of this reaction. If your attack hits, the creature's attack(s) miss. If you fail your Insight check, the creature's attacks against you gain a +5 bonus until the start of their next turn.

Battle Discipline

Also at third level, you gain proficiency in the insight skill, and may use Intelligence instead of Wisdom for this skill.

Read the Room

At 6th level, you gain the ability to decipher an opponent's tactics and develop a counter to them. As a bonus action while raging, you can make an (Insight) check against a creature you can see that isn't incapacitated, contested by the target's (Deception) check. If you succeed, you can add your intelligence modifier to the damage of your attacks against that target.

This benefit lasts for 1 minute or until you successfully use this feature against a different target.

Deadly Precision

Beginning at 10th level, you have mastered your attacks enough to guarantee a deadly blow. While you are raging, when you make a weapon attack with advantage on your turn and hit a creature, you can use your bonus action to cause the attack to become a critical hit. If you do so, you are unable to gain advantage on attack rolls, and all attacks against you are made with advantage until the end of your next turn. Once you use this feature, you are unable to use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Reactive Strategy

At 14th level, you've trained your reflexes, allowing you to react more during combat. While raging, you have an amount of reactions equal to your Intelligence modifier, but you may only use one reaction per turn.
