Base Class: Sorcerer
From an unknown power within your body causes the ink you touch to come alive and as a catalyst for your magic, you use your own body as a spell book tattooing the spells you learn onto you with magic ink you can create and manipulate.
You can extend an ink well into a near infinite amount of usable material for your spells, as you cast spells ink flows from it and the tattoos on your body
You can also scribe new spells onto your body as scrawling tattoos that shift and swirl along your skin refusing to stay still and nigh impossible for anyone to decipher them as only you can read them.
Inky Focus
Starting when you choose this origin at 1st level, You can use an inkwell in place of a arcane focus or component pouch.
Spelled Tattoos
Also at 1st level, you can spend 1 hour per spell level in meditation over a scroll or a spell from spellbook to add the spell to your spell list, You may have as many spells tattooed onto you as the sorcerer class would normally have.
Doing so removes the ink from the source, destroying it, and tattoos the spell onto your skin. You cannot transfer spells from your body to elsewhere, you can only replace them with new spells.
The Quill as mighty as the Sword
Also at 1st level, When you gain this feature you can summon a weapon of ink and magic you choose it's appearance but it acts as a one handed melee weapon with a 5ft reach, dealing 2d4 force damage, use your charisma modifier for attack and damage bonuses, As a bonus action you can summon it and a shield and wield them as if you are proficient, they both appears faintly moving but inky and black.
Additionally, when you attack a hostile creature with your inky weapon you gain temporary hit points equal to half the damage dealt rounded down, which last until the start of your next turn.
Shades of Defense
Starting at 6th level, You can use ans action to become resistant to a single damage type for 1 minute, if you use this feature again before it ends you replace the previous resistance with a new one.
Reactive Redaction
Starting at 14th level, when you are hit by a melee attack you can use your reaction to deal force damage to the attacker, The damage equals your half you sorcerer level + your charisma modifier.
If you use this feature while under the effects of your Shades of Defence, you may instead choose to use 2 sorcery points to do force damage equal to your sorcerer level + double your Charisma modifier.
Master of the Black
Starting at 18th level, You gain an additional 15 spells that are from any spell list, these 15 spells may not be replaced with other spells.

Posted Nov 12, 2019No problem, i have actually redone the class quite a bit but haven't updated it here, although some of your ideas may work well with the ink warlock i am working on.

Posted Nov 10, 2019Apologies in advance; Iβm brainstorming possibilities.
Have you considered adding an ink pet idea? It might be kind of fun to have a summonable companion who can return to your skin or leave from it on command. If this happened, would it be possible to see through the eyes of the creature or would it act separate? Could the creature use its own ink to write out words?
on a different note, have you considered all the things ink is capable of? There are spells for writing messages that when the person who is supposed to read it reads it, it is completely different from the message everyone else reads. Have you considered making a spell or can trip specific to this subclass? If they made a pocket dimension on their skin, would there be images of what items are stored there that only the ink master can see? If this mage wrote spells on paper, is it possible to have spells that can be directed using paper airplanes? If you tattooed half a spell on two people, would the spell take effect if they are both there? If the mage draws a place on paper, can he/she enter their own drawing? Could they store things in that drawing? Can they hide or eavesdrop from that drawing?
honestly, you could probably make your own class on this with its own spells and unique capabilities. Again, sorry... I became an instant geek for a second thereπ Iβll leave you be now π ππππ
