Base Class: Druid
Druids who follow the Circle of Hunger are loners who have learned to tap into the primal instinct of survival and the overwhelming hunger that accompanies it. They harness this hunger to fuel their abilities, pushing themselves and their allies beyond their natural limits. However, this power comes at a cost, as they willingly endure physical and mental strain in exchange for temporary bursts of strength.
Hunger's Endurance
Starting at 2nd level, you can draw upon your hunger to push your body beyond its limits. As a bonus action, you can enter a state of hunger frenzy. While in this state, you gain the following benefits:
- Temporary Hit Points: You gain temporary hit points equal to your druid level.
- Frenzied Strikes: Your melee weapon attacks deal additional damage equal to your Wisdom modifier.
- Speed Boost: Your movement speed increases by 10 feet.
However, after the hunger frenzy ends, you gain one level of exhaustion. Additionally, whenever you use Wild Shape, you can choose to enter the hunger frenzy automatically without expending a use of this feature.
Primal Sustenance
Starting at 2nd level, your connection to the primal forces of hunger grants you a unique ability to sustain yourself amidst scarcity. You can spend a short rest communing with the natural world, absorbing its energy and replenishing your own. During this short rest, you can consume a portion of raw meat or forage for sustenance, expending a use of your Wild Shape feature.
By doing so, you regain a number of hit points equal to your druid level + your Wisdom modifier. Additionally, you gain temporary hit points equal to your druid level, which last until your next short or long rest.
Starving Ferocity
At 6th level, your hunger-fueled frenzy grants you increased combat prowess. When you use your Hunger's Endurance feature, you gain the following additional benefits:
- Advantage on Attack Rolls: You have advantage on all melee weapon attack rolls.
- Critical Hit Threshold: Your melee weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20.
However, each time you use this feature, you gain one additional level of exhaustion beyond the exhaustion gained from Hunger's Endurance.
Insatiable Resilience
At 10th level, your hunger grants you resilience against harmful effects. While you have one or more levels of exhaustion, you have advantage on saving throws against being frightened, charmed, and stunned.
Additionally, whenever you use your Wild Shape feature, you can choose to remove one level of exhaustion you currently have.
Ravenous Might
At 14th level, your insatiable hunger grants you extraordinary strength. When you use your Hunger's Endurance feature, you gain the following additional benefits:
- Extra Attack: You can make one additional weapon attack when you take the Attack action on your turn.
- Damage Boost: Your melee weapon attacks deal an additional 1d8 necrotic damage.
However, each time you use this feature, you gain two additional levels of exhaustion beyond the exhaustion gained from Hunger's Endurance.

Posted Nov 9, 2023Fun read. Just some technical notes here.
Hunger's Endurance: This is worded in such a way that leaves me with two questions. How many times can I use Hunger's Endurance per short/long rest? How long does it last?
Primal Sustenance: If I regain Wild Shape features during a rest then when do I expend a use of Wild Shape to use this feature? Before the rest or after?
