Base Class: Rogue

At level three you gain proficiency in perception, investigation and insight, at level ten this becomes expertise. 

At level three you also gain the natural investigator ability, this allows you to gain advantage on insight at level 7, perception at level 12 and investigation checks at level 5.

Either of these features can be replaced by another feature to get at level one, you can gain a familiar with the rules of warlock familiars, except the creature must have your alignment and goals of investigation. This creature cannot attack in battle but it can investigate the enemy and possibly communicate to you and your party their weakness, this requires them to have an intelligence of 10 or higher.

at level nine you gain the master investigator, this ability allows you to add 3x your proficiency bonus to investigation checks instead of 2x. when you beat an investigation check of 20 or higher in total you get to to a extra 1D6 damage of the weapon or spell's type to who or what you investigated. 

at level thirteen you gain expertise in stealth while you are in an "investigation" and you get an extra 2D6 of the weapon or spell's damage type.

at level 17 you become a master detective, you gain mastery in insight or perception (3x your proficiency bonus). when your are in an investigation you can increase your walking speed by 10ft. you also gain 20ft speed when in a town or withing 5ft of a 

at level 20 you gain 1 cantrip to the DM's rules and can cast all detective spells at will and only taking half a spell slot of the spell's level or higher.

the rules of an investigation mean that you have investigated the same subject over three times in 3 hours and you plan to continue. You gain advantage on all sneak attacks if you are going first in initiative. 

All specific speels that are unavailable are because DDB said I could not have them but any spells such as detect magic or similar spells that would help with being a detective.

Investigator

Starting at 3rd level, you have advantage on a intelligence  (investigation).

Detective

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain Proficiency in  (investigation) checks,  (perception) checks and  (insight)checks, at level ten this becomes expertise. 

Master investigator

By 9th level, you become a master investigator, this means you add three times your proficiency bonus to investigation checks, this opens up to insight at 13th level and perception at level 15.

you gain advantage on attack rolls against targets you have investigated for sneak attacks and you do a bonus 1D6 damage to that target of the weapon or spell's damage type (this works once per short rest)

Detective Master

At the level of 13 you gain advantage on all sneak attacks and proficiency in the stealth skill. If you are in an investigation you can also do an extra 1D6 of the weapon or spell's type. If you are in an investigation you also gain an extra 10ft of walking speed and a bonus 2D6 to add to any of your rolls separately or together (like bardic inspiration)

Expert investigator

you add quadruple your proficiency bonus to (investigation) and 3x to any of the rogue skills.

Clue points

you have spell slots equal to double your proficiency bonus that are restocked once per long rest or whenever a major clue is found, at level 15 your gain a tempowaray spell slot for every major clue.
