Base Class: Barbarian
Tortured by starvation in the cold winter woods, the spirit of the Wendigo emerges within you. You crave the flesh of other humanoids knowing it will give you even greater power. However, you are strong of mind and keep the spirit at bay. Only now can you partially unleash the spirit to aid you in battle. Barbarians along the Path of the Wendigo Spirit did not choose to be the way they are, but they were forced into this position by starvation and cold. This grants them the abilities of a Wendigo without the mindless cannibalism.
Raging Spirit
At level 3, when you rage, the spirit of the Wendigo trapped inside you is allowed to partially emerge. this enacts certain physical changes on your body. Your arms become longer, adding 5ft to the range of your melee attacks, your fingers extend into long bony claws dealing 1d6 + Strength slashing damage, and you grow pointed deer antlers dealing 1d6 + STR bonus piercing damage. As a bonus action you can make a melee attack against a creature within 5ft of you with your horns.
The damage dealt by your horns increases to 1d8 at 10th level, and 1d10 at 14th level.
Bloodlust
At 3rd level, when you kill a creature while raging your possible time to continue raging increases by one minute, you regain hit points equal to the roll of one of their hit die plus your Constitution modifier.
Frozen Hunger
At level 6, you gain resistance to cold damage and, when you score a critical hit, you deal additional necrotic damage equal to your barbarian level and regain half that many hit points.
You are not adversely effected by cold temperatures around you.
Starving Rampage
At level 10, when you kill a creature on your turn, you can move up to your movement speed to make one attack against another creature. This attack is made with advantage.
Consuming Hunter
At level 14, when you hit a creature while raging they mast make a DC (8+Con+Proficiency) Constitution saving throw, taking 1d4 cold damage at the beginning of each of their turns on a failed save with no negative effects on a successive save.
If a creature dies due to the lingering cold effect, the kill is still attributed to you so you still gain the effects of the Bloodlust feature.

Posted Jun 26, 2024Hello! This race is part of an ongoing project and can always use improvement! If anyone has suggestions for adjustments that can be made, I will gladly hear them (especially if they are based in actual use).
