Base Class: Cleric
A new god or a cursed being, it matters not what The Lord of Decay is. As soldiers to him, we shall follow his lordship's demands to the letter, for that is our goal. He does not care about the method we take, as long as we spread his decay among the rotten and allow the world to bloom anew. We are his crusaders and the world shall be kept in order, for there is no room for creation if decay does not make room. The Lord is not cruel though, he does not accept mindless slaughter and his soldiers must protect the innocence of youth whenever possible. He also understands that many do not believe in his goal or think him evil, to prevent his soldier's mission from being impeded he allows his warriors to deceive those around them about their faith, pretending to be a simple knight to saying they follow another's command he shall allow as long as they stay loyal to him. If a soldier of decay were to no longer be loyal they may leave unopposed but no longer be given the boons of decay, but if they were to betray the lord or against his word he shall smite them with his wrath and they will be turned into nothing more than the compost for the earth to consume, continuing the cycle of life and decay.
Strength against the Rot
The Decay of our Lord helps to hold back the disgusting scent of Rot from coming near. You gain resistance against poison damage along with an advantage to saving throws involving poison.
Channel Divinity: Decay of the end
Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to forcibly allow the decay that powers you into those who stand against the growth of the world.
As an action, you can touch a creature and deal half of your current health (Rounded down) necrotic damage to them.
Channel Divinity: End of the decay
At 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to slow the spread of decay on others who have been seen as allies of decay.
As an action, choose one creature that you can see within 60 feet of you. You can heal them for half your current health (rounded down.)
The Mark of the False God
You have been chosen by the Hand of Decay from your lord. This will forever mark you as a herald of Decay, granting you a boon from the lord that will strengthen you to new levels. You are granted a boon of your choice and may swap between them every time you take a level into this class.
Bane of the Rot
You have become the Bane to the Rot, though you can not fully dispel it from your being. As a reaction, you may end the poison status condition for 1 minute but become poisoned after the minute ends.
Cycle of Decay
You can quicken your decay cycle, but only temporarily. Gain 10 temp health at the start of every turn, but lose this temp health at the end of your next turn.
The Exception from Decay
You have been chosen as an exception to the Decay, but there are rules. When you die, no matter what you will come back after 1d4 days, but you come back with 2 levels of exhaustion if brought back this way. If you are turned to ash you shall rise from the ground around those you deem allies (Your party members) with nothing but simple rags. If you are turned into an undead you shall be turned back into who you were before your death. Taking 15 radiant damage will negate this ability for 1d4 days. You must be in the material plane for this to take effect.
Beast's of Decay
The Lord has allowed you the powers of his mighty beasts, allowing more ways to spread his decay. You may pick one of the beasts of decay and transform, allowing you to use their abilities up to a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier per long rest. You can change which beast you choose upon a long rest. Uses
Capybara of Decay
You begin to grow calmer and calmer to the point that it seems that you may not even register that you are in combat anymore. You may no longer take the attack action on your turns (You are still able to use bonus actions and reactions to attack, though at disadvantage). If anyone targets you directly with an attack or a harmful spell, that creature must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC (they needn’t make the save when it includes you in an area effect, such as the explosion of fireball). On a failed save, the creature must choose a new target or forfeit targeting someone instead of you, potentially wasting the attack or spell. On a successful save, the creature attacks at disadvantage.
Crocodile of Decay
You begin to grow the visage of scales around you as the skin that once was there peels and falls off, decaying to let grow an even stronger form for defense. You gain resistance to all physical damage. You also gain advantage on CON saves and a swim speed of 45 ft.
Dragon of Decay
You begin to morph into a similar form to The Lord himself. The gums in your mouth are in a constant state of decay and regrowth, having the residue decay being used to form the mouth of a dragon. You gain the ability to let out a mighty roar and attack your opponents with the gift of Decay. As an action, you can release a cone of decayed gums and residue to blind opponents and deal 3d8 necrotic damage. you also gain advantage on STR saves.
Hyena of Decay
Your jaw begins to decay, hanging far below normal and your vocal cords begin to decay in a way that makes your normal speech simply sound like the laugh of mad-men. You gain the ability to use your newfound laugh to dehabilitate those around you. You can use an action to laugh and cause everyone of your choice in a 30 ft radius to suffer the frightened status condition. You and your allies gain advantage when within 10 ft of each other as well while in this form.
Raven of Decay
The skin under your arms and on the top of your back begins to decay as a disgusting display of wings grows in place of it, the wings of what could only be described as a long-dead raven. You gain a fly speed of 50 ft and advantage on INT and WIS saves.
The Lords Decay Incarnate
You have shown your devotion and power to The Lord of Decay, and for that, he grants you an ultimate boon. A fraction of his power, Decay itself. As an action you may mark a 90ft sphere centered on you as a decay zone. Once you do this, a bubble is formed that will reach up to 90ft tall (This bubble goes through walls to fit its radius) and those you choose may pass between it freely and are immune to the effects. Those trapped inside must make a DC 22 CON save or be poisoned and incapacitated as the true stench of decay fills the area. If they succeed in the save they are only poisoned and cannot be affected by the other effects. You may then use a bonus action to pulse a wave of decay through the bubble and cause anyone affected by the decay to take 20d6 necrotic damage. Holding up the bubble will act as if you were concentrating on a spell, except you are unable to do any actions or move while concentrating on it. If the concentration ends the bubble disappears along with any negative effects you put on anything, but if your concentration is broken by an outside force you take 10d6 force damage (Cannot be lowered in any way) and suffer a level of exhaustion as the Lord's Decay is temporarily left uncontrolled within your body and mind.
