Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

An Avatar of the Storm is a small channel of the pure chaos of the natural powers imbued within storms and chaos. Whether touched at birth by primal powers, or a survivor who had been struck by lightning. The power of lightning and thunder roars through you and you have learned to channel that power into a focused point combined with swordplay and athleticism.

Not to dissimilar from the way a Paladin channels divine energy to smite their foes, a Avatar of the Storm channels the power and fury of storms to cause destructive force.

Fury of the Storm

When you make a weapon attack, or unarmed strike you can channel the power of a storms fury into your attack. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency bonus and gain all uses back on a long or short rest. When you use this feature your attack deals bonus damage equal to your Charisma modifier in the form of either lightning or thunder damage.

Storms Defense

You gain resistance to Lightning damage, and gain advantage of saves from any spell or spell like ability that would deal Lightning Damage.

Channeling the Storm

You gain an advanced ability to channel the powers of the storm more directly. You gain the ability to cast Lightning Bolt or Shatter (as a 3rd level) a number of times per day equal to your Charisma Modifier (Minimum of 1). You gain uses of this ability back on a Long Rest. The starting casting level is 3rd, and increases by 1 level for every additional 3 levels. (4th at lv 10, 5th at level 13, 6th at level 19).

Improved Fury of the Storm

Starting at level 10 the damage from your Fury of the Storm feature increases to twice your Charisma modifier. In addition when you use Action surge you regain 1 use of this feature.

Improved Storms Defense.

You are now resistant to Thunder damage. Additionally when making a save against a spell or similar effect that would deal either Lightning or Thunder damage you take half damage on a failed save and no damage on a successful save.

The Eye of the Storm

As a bonus action on your turn you may enter The Eye of the Storm, this feature lasts for a number of rounds equal to your Charisma modifier. In this form you gain immunity to Lightning and Thunder damage. Additionally all your weapon attacks or Unarmed strikes deal an additional 1d8 lightning damage and 1d8 thunder damage. When you use your Fury of the Storm feature while in this state and hit a creature you can choose one of the following: The target cannot take Reactions until the start of your next turn, or the target can make a strength saving throw against your save DC, being pushed 10ft away from you on a failed save. You can only use this feature once and regain uses on a short or long rest.

When an enemy hits you with a melee attack you can use your Reaction to make an attack against them using one of your Fury of the Storm feature uses.

Living Storm

When you enter the Eye of the Storm you gain 20 temporary hit points.
