Way of the Animals

Monks of this path use a special kind of Ki that resides within animals and uses that ki to undergo a new evolution. With this path, Martial artists unleash the animal within and use that to enhance their fighting capabilities and enlightenment. Unlock the animal within with different forms as cloaks or transformations to go wild on your enemies.

Beast Cloak/Form

Use the Ki from animals to transform yourself with a cloak from a certain animal and gain their traits.


Use Ki to unlock the languages to the beast within, unlocking the ability to speak with animals without knowing the spell. 
Up to 4 forms/cloaks, can be learned throughout your journey. Felidae Form/Cloak, Canidae Form/Cloak, Bird Form/Cloak, Rhinoceros Form/Cloak. 

Each form has different abilities that are available through using them and last certain times before fading away.
But unlocking a form gives you one passive that can be used without transforming.  

Example: Unlocking the Felidae Form makes you have slashing damage type with unarmed strikes with 2 extra Fury of Blows on a bonus turn making it 3 Fury of blows on a bonus action. Your passive is Darkvision up to 60ft and you don't need to transform to have it active.

Bird Cloak/Form

Unleash your wings and fly free like a bird. 

Use 4 ki points to wear the cloak of a bird (Any bird) or transform your arms into wings for 2 minutes.

Advantage in Dexterity Saves

Flying Speed of 50ft

Advantage in Perception checks relying on sight.

Passive: Proficiency in Insight.  

Canidae Form/Cloak

Unleash the wild Canidae within to heighten your senses and power. 

Uses 3 ki points to wear the cloak of the Canidae (Wolf/Dog) or transform certain parts of your body to look Canidae like for 5 minutes. 

Your benefits are listed below. 

Advantage on Perception Checks (Mainly relying on smells and hears)

10ft of Extra movement (Walking)

Unarmed strikes count as Piercing damage

Pack Tactics: Advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the wolf's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated

Passive: 20 ft of Blind sense relying on smells and hearing
 

Felidae Cloak/From

 The Cat within takes form and makes you agile. 

Use 2 ki points to wear the cloak of a Felidae (Cat) or transform parts of your body to look cat like for 5 minutes

Your benefits in this form are listed below.

Gain Advantage on Acrobatics checks

20ft of Extra movement of walking and no extra movement on climbing so they're the same speed as your walking speed. 

Unarmed Attacks are Slashing damage

+2 Extra Fury of blows (Three in total when using the ability) 

+1 Ac bonus (Without armor)

Passive: 60ft of Darkvision (Only Black, white and grey).

Rhinoceros Cloak/Form

Unleash the inner rhino within you to take down your enemies.

Use 5 ki points to wear the cloak of the Rhinoceros or transform your body making it more suitable to take little damage and unleash monstrous strength for 3 minutes

Advantage on Strength saves

Immunity to Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage (Only resistant to magic Bludgeoning, Piercing and Slashing Damage).

+ 3 Ac

Charge: When charging Straight into an opponent or object, you have advantage on hit and can knock them prone if they fail their 
Strength save. Damage is the same as your Martial Dice. 

Passive: Gain +1 to your Armor Class 

 

Wild Boost

When entering a form, gain a boost of power to protect you.


Every time you enter a form, you gain temporary health. Uses two Martial Arts Dices plus your wisdom modifier to calculate your temporary hit points.  


At level 17, you can use four Martial Arts Dices plus your wisdom modifier to calculate your temporary hit points.

This does NOT Stack when switching forms! You must roll for new temporary hit points. 

Nature by Nature

Be able to switch from an active cloak to the next without wasting too much ki.

You now have the ability to switch between forms without wasting too much ki. Now when you switch between forms, you can transform to another only using half of the required ki points (rounded up). 

 

Extended Beast

Your cloaks/transformations last longer thanks to your expertise in ki.

You now have extra time in your cloaks/transformations equal to your proficiency bonus (6 Extra minutes for each form).
