Druid
Base Class: Druid

Druids of the circle of the dragon dedicate themselves to the raw force of natural and magical power that are dragons. They mirror themselves after them, able to transform into them in battle and gaining draconic characteristics even when not transformed, though they are able to only focus on one type of dragon.

Perhaps you are part of an ancient circle, a long line of archdruids that study and emulate the majesty of this creature, or you may be part of a grand organization whose leader is a powerful dragon, whether that’s an evil cult to Tiamat or a travelling order copying Bahamuth’s greatness. Whatever the case may be however, these druids carry themselves  with extraordinary passion and draconic pride.

Gift of the Elders

Beginning when you first choose this circle at 2nd level, you have studied, bonded or even merged with a specific type of dragon, gaining a part of its majesty.  Choose one type of dragon: the damage type associated with it is used by features you gain later.

When you do, you are transformed for a number of minutes equal to your proficiency bonus, and aside from the duration, the Wildshape rules apply to you, counting your Beast form as your Druidic Dragon form.

Draconic Emissary

Starting at 3rd level, you can speak, read, and write Draconic, and whenever you make a Charisma ability check made to interact with a dragon, you do so with advantage.

Wyrm's Magnitude

At 6th level, your draconic power increases. You gain resistance to the damage type associated with your type of dragon (add manually in character sheet), damage in your Druidic Dragon form counts as magical for the purposes of overcoming  resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage, and whenever you transform into your Druidic Dragon form, you can choose to become Large sized instead of Medium. At 10th level, you can become Huge, and at 14th level, you can become Gargantuan.

Elder's Majesty

At 10th level, your Druidic Dragon form becomes more powerful. It now lasts for a number of hours equal to your proficiency bonus, and you can now expend two uses of your Wildshape feature when you transform into your Druidic Dragon form instead of one. When you do, you gain temporary hit points equal to your level, and you gain the following benefits for the duration of your Druidic Dragon form

  • You can cast spells of 1st level or lower.
  • All damage you deal is increased by an amount equal to your Wisdom modifier
  • You emanate an aura which extends 10 feet around you in all directions: allies within than aura have resistance to the damage type associated with your Dragon type.

Draconic Herald

By the time you’ve reached 14th level, your connection to dragons is at its most powerful. You gain the following benefits:

  • Improved Elder’s Majesty. When you use this feature, you gain temporary hit points equal to your level (total of twice your level), and while affected by this feature, you can now cast spells of 2nd level or lower and allies in the aura gain immunity to the damage type associated with your Dragon type instead of resistance.
  • Draconic Resilience. You gain immunity to the damage type associated with your Dragon type (add in character sheet).
  • Breath Nova. As an action, no matter in which form you are, you can exhale raw damaging magic. Creatures in a 60 foot cone or 120 feet long line that’s 5 feet wide (your choice) originating from you must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, they take 25d4 damage of your Dragon type and you gain temporary hit points equal to the damage dealt. You can use this feature once, regaining the ability to use it again when you finish a long rest.
