Blood Hunter
Base Class: Blood Hunter

As a blood hunter, you know that in blood is held a warrior's strength & offering that strength begets power. Armed with this principle, you face your foes wielding the same arts as the cultist you often battle.

Hemocraft Spellcasting

Spellcasting Ability

Your chosen Hemocraft ability (Intelligence or Wisdom) for your spells & also determines from what Spell List you learn your spells from. If Intelligence, then you choose from the Druid spell list & If Wisdom then you choose from the Wizard spell list. This becomes your designated Hemocraft spell list. You use your Hemocraft MOD whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Hemocraft modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Hemocraft modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Hemocraft modifier

Cantrips

You learn two cantrips of your choice from the designated Hemocraft spell list. You gain an additional cantrip of your choice from your Hemocraft spell list at 10th level.

Spell Slots

The Ritualist Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your Hemocraft spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

For example, if you know the 1st-level spell Ice Knife and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast Ice Knife using either slot.

Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher

You know three 1st-level Hemocraft spells of your choice, two of which you must choose from the designated Hemocraft spell list.

The Spells Known column of the Eldritch Knight Spellcasting table shows when you learn more Hemocraft spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these spells must be an Conjuration, Transmutation or Necromancy spell of your choice and must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.

The spells you learn at 8th, 14th, and 20th level can come from any school of magic.

Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the Hemocraft spells you know with another spell of your choice from the Hemocraft  spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots & it must be a Conjuration, Transmutation or Necromancy spell, unless you’re replacing the spell you gained at 3rd, 8th, 14th, or 20th level from any school of magic.

Ritual Casting

You can cast a Hemocraft spell as a ritual if that spell has the ritual tag and you have the spell in your spell list. You don’t need to have the spell prepared.

Sacrifice for Spells

As an action, you can replenish 1 of your spent spell slot by rolling a number of your Hemocraft Die = to the slots level & take the results as unreducible damage.

Spell Rite

When you have your Crimson Rite activated, you can use your bonus action to spend 1 spell slot. You increase the damage of your Crimson Rite, adding a number of Hemocraft Die = the level of the spent slot for the remainder of the round.

Infused Blood.

When you take damage of the same type as one of your Crimson Rite, you can use your reaction to activate that Rite. Your Crimson Rite deals the maximum amount of damage until the end of the next round.
