Base Class: Warlock
The Oracle has appeared before countless minds throughout all of time, sharing visions of Their infinite knowledge. Many of those who were gifted with these visions were driven to madness, the prophecies and voices becoming too much. The Oracle has been described in multiple ways - A kind old woman, a blind beggar, a beautiful ethereal woman of smoke, or even an intangible ball of light. It is all too possible that The Oracle was all of these forms, appearing as They needed to in order to bring Their visions into the world.
Oracle Spells
The magic of your patron ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Warlock level specified in the Oracle Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
| Warlock Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | Alarm, Identify, Augury, Enhance Ability |
| 5 | Clairvoyance, Haste |
| 7 | Arcane Eye, Confusion |
| 9 | Commune, Legend Lore |
Thread of Fate
Starting at 3rd level, The Oracle begins to fill your mind with visions of possible futures. You are able to briefly tap into these visions to foresee all the infinite destinies of an individual.
When you damage a creature, you may establish a Thread of Fate between you and that creature. The Thread lasts for 1 minute. For the duration, the creature reduces any attack roll against you by 1d6, and it cannot make opportunity attacks against you.
You may also use your reaction to grant this reduction to an attack made against another creature that you can see within 10 feet of you. You may establish a Thread a number of times equal to your Proficiency bonus per short rest.
Awakened Mind
Also at 3rd level, even the smallest share of The Oracle's knowledge opens your eyes to discoveries you once thought impossible. Choose from among Investigation, Religion, History, or Nature. You gain proficiency with the chosen skill. If you already have proficiency, you gain expertise.
Prophet's Rebuttal
Starting at 6th level, the premonitions gifted to you by The Oracle allow you supernatural reflexes, and over time you have learned to hone these skills to your advantage.
Whenever a hostile creature misses an attack against either you or a creature within 10 feet of you that you can see, you may use your reaction to make one weapon attack or cast one cantrip targeting that hostile creature. When you deal damage to a creature this way, you deal an additional 1d8 psychic damage.
Shard of Endless Knowledge
At 10th level, The Oracle has gifted you with an object containing a fraction of their infinite understandings. You choose the appearance of this object and may use it as a spell casting focus.
You may choose three spells up to 5th level from any magical teaching. These spells are added to your Warlock spell list and are thereafter always prepared. Additionally, as a bonus action once per long rest, you may recover one of your expended Pact Magic spell slots.
Eyes of The Oracle
At 14th level, you have learned how to momentarily open the flood gates and let the entirety of The Oracle's infinite knowledge surge into your mind. For these brief moments, you are able to see all that ever was, all that ever could have been, all that ever could be, and all that ever will be. As a bonus action, you may open your conscience to The Oracle for up to 1 minute. If you do, you gain the following for the duration:
- You receive 5d4 psychic damage at the start of your turn.
- You gain an increase to your Armor Class and saving throw rolls equal to your Proficiency bonus.
- Your movement speed is doubled and moving does not invoke opportunity attacks.
- You gain an additional reaction per turn.
- You gain an additional action per turn.
- Attack roll score a critical hit on a roll of 10 or 20, instead of just 20.
- You gain 120 feet of truesight.
You may end this state at any time as a free action. If you would be reduced to 0 hit points or lower as a result of this state, you are instead reduced to exactly 1 hit point and the state ends. When you leave this state, either voluntarily or otherwise, you collapse to the ground prone with two levels of exhaustion.

Posted Nov 13, 2024Appreciate that, it's one of my favorites I have made.
And yeah, unfortunately spells can't be directly linked/added if you want a subclass to be public. Something with WotC copyright nonsense =/

Posted Nov 13, 2024Spells are not added to your characters spell list. Beyond that I love the idea and concept of this subclass. It perfectly fits a concept I have toyed with.
