Most people believe that Vices such as gambling weaken the spirit, however users of the Restless Gambler live for the so called "fever" they feel when gambling with their lives. When everything is at risk there's only one person you need to bet on and thats You!

In other words, In the 4 minutes and 20 seconds following a Jackpot, the user is effectively Immortal.

Serrated Ki

Your Ki is akin to serrated bat, making it so that you cut anything your hand makes contact with. Your unarmed blows deal Slashing and Bludgeoning Damage.

Restless Gambler

Restless Gambler: As a free action using 5 Ki points you create an orb shaped barrier, The barrier can be broken from the outside, the outer shell has 50 Hp and 25 AC. The barrier is erected in a 30ft radius around the user and anyone in that range. If the Barrier is broken or the user is knocked unconscious/killed the Restless Gambler ends in that same instant. The inside of the Barrier exists in an alternate space of the characters choice, 2d100 are rolled at the beginning and end of the users turn if you get 200 you enter Jackpot Mode. Your barrier also breaks if you hit a Jackpot.

Pity System: Every time you fail a roll for Jackpot Mode the success requirement reduces by 5 and once Jackpot Mode is initiated, the requirement is reset back to 200.

When you Jackpot your barrier will gain one benefit of your choice the next time you use Restless Gambler, this benefit goes away after a short or long rest

  • Increased Probability Mode: You gain a +20 to all your next Jackpot rolls.
  • Increased Spins Mode: You gain advantage on all your next Jackpot rolls.

For the Duration of Jackpot Mode a Theme song plays(users choice) until the end of Jackpot Mode. Anyone within a 300ft radius can hear this theme song and your overflowing Ki turns into a bright green flame that surrounds you, casting a bright green light within 60ft of you. You cannot use your barrier again until Jackpot Mode is over.

Burnout: When Jackpot Mode ends the next time you use restless gambler before a short or long rest and don’t get the Jackpot on your first roll, the user experiences a 'burnout' for 1 minute. The user cannot use Ki while they are under the effects of the 'burnout' and have 2 levels of exhaustion until they land a Jackpot or long rest.
