Base Class: Barbarian
Barbarians who walk the Path of the Silentheart are driven by a singular, unyielding purpose: to destroy those who wield arcane power. They harbor an ever burning hatred for magic and the mages who manipulate it, whether driven by vengeance, loss, or a belief that magic corrupts the natural order. The Silentheart’s rage is not a mere outburst of fury, but a focused and refined weapon honed over years of relentless pursuit. Silenthearts reject the gifts of magic, choosing instead to cultivate a primal mastery of tracking and defeating those who rely on the arcane. They possess an uncanny ability to discern a mage’s weaknesses whether through their posture, their breath, or the subtle flickers of magic that betray their presence. When a Silentheart faces a mage they do not simply fight, they hunt, knowing instinctively where to strike, what to disable, and how to tear the magic from their enemy’s grasp. Only a rare few are ever consumed by such hatred, their minds and bodies becoming one with their purpose. The Silentheart path is one of sacrifice, forsaking the power that magic might offer in exchange for a pure, unrelenting focus on the destruction of the magical arts.
If you choose the Path of the Silentheart, you embrace a life of combat against magic and those who wield it, your fury burning brighter than any spell.
Dread Fighter
3rd-level Path of the Silentheart feature
You've begun how to properly build your hatred. At 3rd level, you gain the ability to build up Dread points up to Constitution modifier (minimum of 1). You gain 1 Dread point whenever you fail a saving throw against a spell or are hit by a spell.
At a cost for your defiance to the arcane you are unable to cast spells using any spellcasting feature from another class, but you can still cast spells granted by feats, magical items, or racial abilities.
Your Dread points are lost after completing a Long Rest.
Dread Technique
3rd-level Path of the Silentheart feature
You now gain the ability to spend Dread points to invoke abilities, each one made stronger in the heat of your rage. Only one Dread ability may be used per action or reaction.
Relentless Hunt
1 Dread Point
When you Dash, you can expend 1 Dread point to make a melee weapon attack immediately after completing the Dash. If you are raging, you may spend an additional Dread point to gain advantage on the attack roll.
Rising Star
1 Dread Point
When you attack with advantage, you may spend 1 Dread point on a successful hit to push a creature back 10 feet. While raging, you can push the creature back 30 feet instead.
True Vantage
2 Dread Points
As a reaction, you can expend 2 Dread points to force a spell attack against you to be made at disadvantage. If you are raging, instead of disadvantaging the attack, you can spend the same amount of Dread points to gain resistance to a damage type of your choice (chosen from the spell's damage type) until the start of your next turn.
Ankle Cutter
1 Dread Point
When you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can spend 1 Dread point to halve their movement speed until the start of your next turn. While raging, you reduce their movement to 0 instead and force them to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 12 + your Strength modifier). On a failed save, the creature falls prone.
Flow State
6th-level Path of the Silentheart feature
Starting at 6th level, your hatred places you in a continual state of battle that makes your weapons almost apart of your body.
While raging, when you make a melee weapon attack, your next attack can be made with a different melee weapon from your inventory, even if it's not currently equipped.
If the first weapon was an attuned magic weapon, you can use your reaction and spend 1 Dread Point to switch your attunement to another magic weapon in your inventory.
Merciless Blade
10th-level Path of the Silentheart feature
At 10th level, your hatred for magic fuels your momentum in battle. When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with a weapon attack, you can immediately make another weapon attack against a creature within range, using the same weapon. This follow-up strike may also be empowered by a Dread Technique, even if you have already used one this turn.
Manni Katti
14th-level Path of the Silentheart feature
Your unrelenting hatred for mages has honed your will to a razor’s edge, allowing you to shrug off their arcane assaults with ease. Your ferocity burns so bright that the very magic they weave falters in your presence. Your will is a furnace, and no magic can stand against the fire of your vengeance.
You gain immunity to any spell of a level equal to or lower than the number of Dread points you currently possess. For example, if you have 3 Dread points, you are immune to all spells of 3rd level or lower.
Additionally, once per short rest, if you are affected by a spell of a level higher than your current Dread points, you may use your reaction to negate and end the spell’s effects entirely.

Posted May 31, 2025Thanks so much! I tried keeping it pretty faithful to the game among all things. If you have any suggestions for fixs let me know!

Posted May 15, 2025Despite a handful of things I would fix(most of those aren't even a "fix it", just my opinion tbh), this is the best possible translation of Silentheart and I want you to know that.
