Base Class: Sorcerer
Lunar Sorcerers, more commonly known as the Moon-touched, are common to many worlds but have diverse origins. Many are those children born under a lunar eclipse or blood moon. Such lunar sorcerers are often believed to be cursed, their birth seen as a dark omen. Others are touched by druidic rituals heralding a new year under a full moon. Some are related to long gone travellers from the heavens whose blood yet yearns to return to their true homeworld. While the rarest form are those born near the crater of a meteor or asteroid made of moon rock.
Whatever their origin, Lunar sorcerers are tied to the changing faces of the moon(s) their magic ebbs and flows like a tide in response to the movement of the moons. They are most comfortable when the moon is high in the sky. Their sorcerous magic can manifest as glowing moon light in their eyes or hair, or as a shifting personality cycling with the lunar phases, or as an alien coldness and obsession with watching the night sky.
Level 3: Sparks of Moonlight
You learn Starry Wisp, this counts as a sorcerer spell to you but doesn't count against your spells known.
In addition, sparks of moonlit also flicker in your eyes, granting you Darkvision with a range of 60 ft.
Level 3: Lunar Phase
When you reach a Sorcerer level you gain certain spells prepared based on your current Lunar Phase. Whenever you finish a long rest, you can change your current Lunar Phase.
If your chosen Lunar Phase matches the actual phase of at least one moon of the world you are in, then you can cast one of your Lunar Phase spells without expending a spell slot. Once you cast this spell you cannot cast a spell in this way again until you finish a long rest.
