Base Class: Monk
Monks who follow the path of the Diamond Soul devote their lives to polishing their inner spirit until it becomes flawless—hard, brilliant, and unbreakable. Through relentless discipline, they refine both thought and movement into crystalline precision. Their serenity is a shield; their clarity, a weapon.
A Warrior of the Diamond Soul meets incoming force with perfect stillness, refracting it through a mind honed to brilliance. And when their tranquility finally breaks, the shattering releases a burst of focused power as sharp and radiant as a diamond’s edge.
Level 3: Diamond Guard
Your defensive discipline begins to crystallize into unyielding brilliance.
Diamond Guard.
While you are under the effect of the Dodge action, you have Resistance to Bludgeoning damage.
Defensive Counterstrike.
When you expend 1 Focus Point to use Patient Defense, you can also make one Unarmed Strike as part of the same Bonus Action.
This attack deals an additional 1d4 Force damage.
If this extra die shows a 4, you regain the Focus Point spent on Patient Defense.
Additionally, you gain Temporary Hit Points equal to the damage dealt by this attack.
These Temporary Hit Points last until the Dodge action ends.
Level 6: Facet of Deflection
As your soul becomes more finely cut, you deflect attacks along sharpened facets of discipline.
Enhanced Diamond Guard.
The protection granted by your 3rd-level feature improves.
While you are under the effect of the Dodge action, you have Resistance to Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage.
Refined Deflection.
Your Deflect Attacks feature sharpens:
-
The redirected attack deals three rolls of your Martial Arts die + your Dexterity modifier.
-
When you roll the 1d10 to reduce the attack’s damage, roll an additional 1d4.
If the d4 shows a 4, you don’t expend a Focus Point when making the redirected attack.
Level 11: Flawless Focus and Form
Your inner self is polished to perfection—mind and movement unified into a flawless crystalline whole.
Perfected Counterstrike.
The Unarmed Strike granted by Patient Defense becomes more potent.
It now deals two additional 1d4 Force damage dice instead of one.
If either of these dice shows a 4, you regain the Focus Point spent on Patient Defense.
If both dice show 4, the attack also applies Stunning Strike, and this use of Stunning Strike does not count against your once-per-turn limit.
Superior Deflection.
Your deflection technique now reflects force with immaculate precision.
When you use Deflect Attacks and roll the 1d10 to reduce damage, you now roll two additional 1d4s.
-
If either d4 shows a 4, you don’t expend a Focus Point when making the redirected attack.
-
If both dice show 4, you also regain your Reaction immediately after resolving Deflect Attacks.
Level 17: Shattering Tranquility
Your serenity becomes pristine and absolute—until broken, releasing a brilliant surge of motion and power.
Shattering Tranquility.
At the end of a Short or Long Rest, you enter a meditative state that surrounds you with an aura of perfect calm.
You gain the effect of the Sanctuary spell, which lasts until the start of your next Short or Long Rest (it ends early as normal).
The saving throw DC equals 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your Proficiency Bonus.
Whenever this Sanctuary effect ends for any reason, you can choose to gain the effects of the Haste spell.
This Haste functions exactly as written:
-
it requires Concentration,
-
it lasts up to 1 minute,
-
and you suffer lethargy when the spell ends.
