Bard
Base Class: Bard

The College of Laughter isn't really a college, but a natural talent bards are either born with, or they aren't - you can't teach funny. Some of those with this talent, continue to hone it throughout their life until it can be used in a variety of ways. Many College of Laughter bards find employ with a traveling circus or as court jesters.

Early on in life, these natural jesters and jokers learned the power of laughter. Anger can be quelled, people can be distracted, and you can even make people forget their pain. You revel in putting a smile on everyone's face where ever you go.

Look a distraction!

When you join the College of Laughter at 3rd level, you become proficient in the classic art of misdirection.

When a creature within 60 feet makes an attack roll against you, you can use your reaction to intimate a real (or false) distraction. Expend a use of your bardic inspiration and force that creature to reroll their attack roll. They must use the lower of the two rolls.

Laughter is the best medicine

It is said laughter is the best medicine. While you won't be stitching up any wounds, you have found that laughter can distract people from their pain temporarily.

Also at 3rd level, when you inspire others with your Bardic Inspiration die, they gain temporary hit points. The temporary hit points gained is equal to the maximum value of the bardic inspiration die you gave them + your charisma modifier.

Take a Dive

At 6th level, your familiarity with slapstick routines means you know how to take a punch and get back up. You can give yourself resistance to bludgeoning damage if you choose to fall prone with the attack. You cannot use this feature if you are already prone.

In addition, standing up from prone only costs you 5 feet of movement.

Standing Ovation

Your antics are meant for a crowd!

At 14th level, if you spend 10 minutes doing a comedy routine in front of an audience, you can bestow your bardic inspiration die on up to 10 creatures that heard your entire routine with a single expenditure of your Bardic Inspiration feature. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
