Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

Clerics of the chant domain specialize in artistic forms of worship. They sing songs of praise to their deity and often have a background in organizing communal worship. The style of music performed reflects the alignment and personality of the deity (good deities prefer consonance, evil prefer dissonance, lawful prefer simpler forms, and chaotic deities prefer their music to be quixotic and surprising). These clerics may have gained the favor of the deity through their musical practice, or the musical skill may itself be one of the deity’s gifts. The divine hymns can be used to inspire allies and bring dread into the hearts of enemies.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain proficiency with a musical instrument and performance in order to sing praises to your deity.

Divine Hymnals

If the player performs a song in the deity’s preferred style or recounts a tale that involves the deity, the performance check can use the clerics wisdom skill instead of charisma

Channel Divinity: Song of Invocation

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to inspire or demoralize combatants with stories and songs of your deity.

As an action, you can use Channel Divinity and use your musical instrument to invoke the name and power of your deity. Depending on alignment, you cast bless or bane on three random allies or enemies that can hear you within 30ft. It only lasts 30 seconds and you have advantage on save throws to maintain concentration.

A good or neutral deity results in 3 random allies being blessed. If the deity is evil, bane will be cast on three random enemies.

The targets are determined by a dice roll from the DM

Holy Sacrament

Beginning at 6th level, you begin to record your various ceremonies and songs of worship. You gain the ability to record cleric rituals into your prayer book. You may have 3 rituals in the book at a time, and it takes 10 minutes of focused mediation on a short rest to replace one of the spells.

The chosen spells can only be cast as rituals and may not be prepared while they are in the prayer book. Additionally, these rituals will take an extra twenty minutes to cast (added to the ten minutes usually required for a ritual for a total of 30 min) due to your added prayers and ceremonies not typically required to cast the spell.

Potent Caster

At 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your spells with divine energy. You add your wisdom mod to damage rolls for cantrips

Vigorous Chant

As an action, you perform a spirited chant proclaiming your eventual victory through the power of your deity, giving all allies within 60ft that can hear you 1d10 times your Wis mod temporary HP and advantage on their next attack. Any ally which has been dedicated to your deity through the ceremony spell or other means gains advantage on all attacks, saving throws, and ability checks for one minute. You can use ability once per long rest.
