College of Elegance

While most bards draw upon the magic of song and careful words, some enhance those same rhythms and transform them into a form of physical art. College of elegance bards learn to move their bodies to flow with the sounds of both the environment and their own internal song. The natural elegance of these dances results in magic that can be used to change the mood and improve the abilities of those around them.

Empowering Dance

As an action you may spend an inspiration die to do an Empowering Dance. Any creature of your choice within 60 ft of you that can see you will be granted an effect based on the choice of dance for one minute or until cancelled by you. Only one dance may be active on one target at any given time. The dances are as follows

Inspiring Grace: For the duration, add +1 to all ability checks, attack rolls or saving throws. This increases by +1 at 5th level, 10th level and 15th level.

Bolstering Waltz: For the duration, the target may add a d6 to all attack damage rolls. This increases to a d8 at 5th level, a d10 at 10th level and a d12 at 15th level.

Carefree Cavort: For the duration, the target gains +5ft walking speed and may spend a bonus action to disengage. The extra speed increases by 5ft at 5th, 10th and 15th level. 

Defensive Strut: For the duration, the target may roll a d6 and subtract the rolled number from any damage they take. This increases to a d8 at 5th level, a d10 at 10th level and a d12 at 15th level.

Bewildering Dance: Choose a mood, like Angry, Happy, or Sad. The target must make a wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or have their mood change to that emotion for the duration. The change in mood does not result in any shift in alignment, nor does it result in any conditions like frightened or charmed.

Intensify or Prolong

When using one of your empowering dances, you may spend an additional inspiration die to either intensify or prolong the dance. Intensifying doubles the effect of the dance, with Bewildering dance inflicting stronger emotions. Prolonging increases the duration of the dance's effect to 10 minutes.

 

Captivating Performance

When doing an empowering dance, you may use an Inspiration Die to grant the effect to any number of targets within range.
