Base Class: Druid
The Circle of the Life is made up of tribal elders and those who wish to protect their young. These druids value the youth in their tribes among all other things. The circle’s greatest, eldest, and wisest members might go as far as hold up their child on the tallest platform for all to see, just to show how great their child is. As a member of this circle, your magic comes from your sense of protection and wisdom to pass on.
Child of Nature
When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you gain the find familiar spell, and choose one animal from the list provided in the spell. When casting this spell, you can only summon that animal. The familiar also gains extra Hit Dice equal to your class level divided by two, and their base hit die becomes 1d6.
Additionally, your familiar gains use of the Attack action and their melee weapon attack damage increases to 1d6, this increase to 2d6 at 10th level. At 10th level, your familiar can attack twice, instead of once, whenever it takes the Attack action on their turn.
Natural Parent
Starting at 2nd level, you are a natural parent to your familiar. When using Wild Shape to become the creature that is the same as your Child of Nature, you gain these special effects:
You are one size category larger, your hit points carry over from your normal form, your Str and Con scores become 14 unless the creature has a higher score than 14, you add your Wis modifier to the damage of every attack you make in this form.
Guide of Beasts
Starting at 6th level, you gain the ability to speak with beasts and you have advantage on any Charisma or Wisdom check against beasts. As an action you can expend a spell slot to charm non-hostile a tiny or small beast, if this beast is hostile or any size category larger than small they must make a Wisdom saving throw against your druid spell save DC, on a failed save the beast is charmed for 1 hour or until you use this ability again.
Present Child
When you reach 10th level, as an action while holding your Child of Nature, you can then expend a spell slot of 1st through 5th level to start presenting your child. While presenting your child certain effects occur for 1 minute:
- Bright light sheds off of your Child of Nature in a 30ft radius.
- Chosen creatures within 30ft of you regain Hit Points equal to 1d6 per level of spell slot used to start the ability.
- Disembodied voices sing a song having all chosen creatures that can hear you make a Wisdom saving throw, on a failed save the creature becomes charmed to you for the duration of the ability. The DC of the save is equal to 10 + the level of the spell slot you spent to use this ability. If a creature makes successful save, it cannot be targeted by this affect again during the same Present Child.
Father of the Wilds
When you reach 14th level, the world around you is influenced by your wisdom and sometimes your dad jokes. After a long rest 1d8 twig blights appear by you and are obedient to you. They reform with the earth at your next long rest. When you lower a plant or beast to less than or equal to 10 Hit Points, you can force them to make a Wisdom saving throw against your druid spell save DC, on a failed saving throw the creature becomes either charmed or frightened (your choice) for 1 hour. If a creature succeeds on the saving throw you cannot attempt this ability on them for the next 24 hours.
