Path of the Shugoki

The Shugoki appear slow and cumbersome. Don’t let that fool you -- they possess the strength of a giant and an indomitable will. It takes incredible fortitude to be the guardians of your people. You must defend them at all costs and put their needs above your own. This has never been an issue for the Shugoki. Their weapon of choice seems unwieldy. But in their hands, it is as deadly and precise as any blade.

Oni Throw

If, at the start of your turn, you are grappling a creature of one size larger than you or smaller, you may use your Bonus Action to make a Strength (Athletics) check contested by the target's Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check. If you succeed, you may throw the grappled creature an amount of feet equal to your STR score (rounded up to closest 5). The creature takes 1d12+STR bludgeoning and is knocked prone.

Rock Steady

Beginning at 6th level, you cannot be knocked prone. In addition you ignore difficult terrain, and magical effects cannot reduce your speed or cause you to be restrained while raging.

Hard to Kill

Beginning at 10th level, you can use your reaction to reduce incoming damage. When you do so, the damage you take from the attack is reduced by 1d12 + your Constitution modifier. If you reduce the damage of a melee weapon attack from a creature within melee range to 0, you may attempt to grapple the creature. This ability may be used a number of times equal to your CON modifier and refreshes on a long rest.

Staggering Blow

Starting at 14th level, before you make a melee attack with a heavy weapon that you are proficient with, you can choose to take a -5 penalty to the attack roll. If the attack hits the target and the target is one size larger than you or smaller, you can force the target to make a Strength Saving Throw of a DC equal to the result of the attack roll. On a failure, the target takes an additional 1d12 of the weapon's damage type and is knocked prone.
