Base Class: Rogue
You’ve perfected the art of killing for cash. The thrill of hunt is more exciting to you than a quick cut-throat. As a bounty hunter you focus your bloodlust to earn a living, using your gold to further your hunting passion.
Hunter's Hook
Starting at 3rd level, you gain proficiency to the homebrew item "Bounty Hunter's Hook".
Bounty System
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain the “bounty” ability.
In any town you travel too you can find a hit man's fence.
This mysterious figure will buy every head you collect for 1d4x10 gold per challenge rating, or 5 gold for less.
Each head you collect takes one minute to harvest and weighs 0.2/0.5/1/4/8 pounds per size category.
Dazing Strike
Starting at 9th level, when you succeed a melee attack, you can expend a bonus action to stun the target until the end of their next turn. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Dexterity modifier, resetting on a long rest.
Identified Target
Once you reach 13th level, during any short or long rest, chose a favored enemy from the ranger table. For the next 8 hours every successful attack you make against that type of enemy does additional damage equal to half your sneak attack damage.
Death Sentance
When you reach 17th level, you have become a quick draw killer. At the start of combat, as a reaction, mark one enemy you can see. For the next minute all successful attacks you make against that target will be critical hits. You may use this ability once per hour.

Posted Oct 17, 2018Death Sentence definitely seems ridiculously powerful, even for a capstone, as soon as you remember that crits also double Sneak Attack damage, which by level 17 are worth 9d6 points of damage. Consistently doing 18d6 damage with Sneak Attack alone against a single target every hour seems highly excessive.

Posted May 11, 2018Shouldn't there be a save for the Dazing Strike like the monk's stunning strike?
Death Sentence might need some work. I don't think any other ability in the game gives you automatic crits for a minute. Maybe let them crit on a 19-20 like the champ on the targeted enemy.

Posted May 7, 2018For the fact that the weapon hasn't been added:
This short, dagger sized fishing hood is attached to a 10ft chain. It does 1d6 Piercing damage, and has the following traits:
Finesse
Thrown (10, 25)
Special: Hook. When you attack an enemy, you can use a bonus action to pull them 10ft toward you. Your opponent must be no more than one size category larger than you, and fail a Dexterity save. (Base save is 8+ Proficiency + Dexterity)

Posted May 7, 2018This is true, but I also didn't add gargantuan or colossal skulls. If you look at it practically, who would buy the head of a diminutive creature?

Posted May 7, 2018I like this a lot! However, there are actually six sizes and you only included 5 weights. Not that it matters too much, but it is technically an error.
