Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

Airborne Rangers are elite special operators, with specialized skills that enable them to perform a variety of operations including executing direct action raids in hostile or sensitive environments, often killing or capturing high value targets. Besides direct action raids, their other missions include: target site seizure, special reconnaissance, personnel recovery, clandestine insertion, and target site exploitation. Airborne Rangers encompass a "Big Five Philosophy": marksmanship, physical training, medical training, small-unit tactics, and mobility for the success of the individual Airborne Ranger and the Ranger mission.

Many Missions.

Airborne Rangers are trained for battle on any terrain possible. They've launched midnight raids from airships whose names evoke terror in the hearts of their adversaries. Bivoac is their second home, the rain their shelter, and the blast of artillery their battle cry. Airborne Rangers are a lethal, agile and flexible force, capable of conducting many complex missions. Each Airborne Ranger is always combat ready, mentally and physically tough, and prepared to fight their adversaries. Their capabilities include conducting airborne assaults, seizing key terrain, destroying strategic facilities, and capturing or killing enemies. Often Airborne Rangers will be allowed to wear distinctive uniform headgear, such as the Dwarven Ranger Regiment's tan beret. The beret is a mark of distinction that brands the wearer as a proven warrior. The tan color is reminiscent of the leather caps worn by the original rangers of dwarven heritage and lore.

Ranger School

Ranger School is one of the toughest training courses for which a soldier can volunteer. Airborne Rangers are experts in leading soldiers on difficult missions - and to do this, they need rigorous training. For more than two months, Airborne Rangers train to exhaustion, pushing the limits of their minds and bodies. The purpose of the difficulty of the Airborne Ranger course is to prepare these volunteers in combat skills. The Airborne Rangers' primary mission is to engage in close combat and direct-fire battles.
