Start a path on the journey to becoming the best bender in the world
Beginner's bending
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can harness the power of the elements. This choice you must follow for the rest of your monk days:
- Fire- learn fire bolt cantrip
- Water- learn water bending cantrip
- Earth- learn mold earth cantrip
- Air- learn gust cantrip
Elemental affinity
At 6th level, you gain the ability to gain spiritual connections to your element of bending:
- Fire- resistance to fire and lightning damage
- Water- can breathe air and water
- Earth- resistance to bludgeoning, piercing and slashing from non magic
- Air- immunity to fall damage and double walk speed
Power techniques
Beginning at 11th level, you can spend 1 ki point to do an incredible bending feat in casting a 3rd level spell:
- Fire- can cast fire ball or lightning bolt
- Water- can cast wall of water or tidal wave
- Earth- can cast erupting earth or wall of sand
- Air- can cast fly or haste
At 15th level they can be cast at 5th level if possible
Master bender
At 17th level, you gain major enhancements to your natural abilities depending on your bending style:
- Fire- +2 damage to melee attacks
- Water- advantage on weapon attacks
- Earth- +2 to AC
- Air- advantage on saves
