College of Art

Bards of the College of Art are daring adventures whose paintings keep alive the memory of the great heroes of the past, and thereby inspire a new generation of heroes. These bards demonstrate their work after battles and great deeds by recreating the scenes in painting. They travel the land to witness great events firsthand and to ensure that the memory of those events doesn’t pass from the world. With their paintings ending in manor houses and museums as reminders of heros and ledgends.

Arcane Focus

As an Artist Bard can use a paintbrush as your arcane focus. Allowing you to infuse your magic through the fibers of the brush.

Your paintbrush is a normal paintbrush when in the hands of anybody other than you.

You gain the spell Colour Spray in addition to your spell list

At 6th level you gain the spell Acid Splash in addition to your spell list

Bonus Proficiencies

When you join the College of Art at 3rd level, you gain proficiency slight of hand and one other skill of your choice.

Sketchbook

Also at 3rd level you gain the ability to bring your sketch pages to life, you can create magical sketches of both items and creatures. You can only create magical sketches in your sketchbook within the hour of seeing the creature or item. A creature must be less than a challange rating of 1.

A successful slight of hands check of 15 must be performed create a magial sketch of the creature or item.

You can store magical item sketches within your book equal to your charisma modifier.

You can store magical creature sketches within your book equal to your charisma modifier.

Any item stored in the sketchbook can be peeled from the sketchbook and thrown to the floor as a bonus action this then activates the item which appears as a sketched version of the item. This item has 5 uses, after the 5th use the item breaks.

Any creature stored in the sketchbook can be peeled from the sketchbook and thrown to the floor as an action. The creatures appearance is that of a sketched version of the creature, distinctly recognised as a copy of it. This creature understands only you and acts as you tell it to. The creature is an ooze, but has it's normal stats as per the monster manual except from it only has 1 hit point. The creature disapears after one hour.

Artists interpritation

Starting at 6th level you can create items on solid surfaces to allow interation up to a 5 foot cube. This allows the creation of such items as a door through a wall, a freshly created wall, or a lock on a door.

You can use this feature number of times equal to your charisma modifier, per long rest.

Worldly Paintings

At 14th level, you have created the art of masterpiece paintings as portals. on a sucsessful slight of hand check of 20, you are able to create the portal to anywhere you have heard about or read about. This is lowered to 15 if you have been to the place before. The painting takes 10 minutes to create.

The portal lasts for 1 minute before loosing it's magic, where it becomes a master piece drawing worth 50gp
