College of Astley

Bards of this college emulate the god Rick Astley. Rick Astley is the god of dancing and music. Bards use his divine power to hinder their foes, buff their allies and charm enemies. Bards of this college must swear an oath not to harm people, limiting their combative abilities, however they are great for support and healing roles.

Commandment of Astley

By the lord Astley's commandments, "never gonna tell a lie and hurt you", you cannot directly cause damage. If you do you will lose all bard features except skills and proficiencies. This lasts for 24 hours or until the next dawn.

Never Gonna Run Around

By expending your movement you can buff allies. Starting at 3rd level, as a bonus action on your turn, you can expend your speed to give one creature advantage on their next attack roll, ability check, or saving throw. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier. You regain one use per short rest and all uses at the end of a long rest.

Irresistible Charm

Your excellent dancing skills can twist the minds of others. Starting at 3rd level, as an action you can choose on creature of your choice within 30ft of you. This creature must be able to see and hear you. If you expend one use of Bardic Inspiration the creature must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. if it fails it is charmed by you for 10 minutes. If it succeeds it suffers no effects, and doesn't know you attempted to charm it. You can use this feature once per long rest. Starting at level 6 you can choose on additional creature. This ability doesn't affect celestials, fey or fiends.

Never Gonna Give You Up

You refuse to let your friends fall. Starting at level 6, as a reaction when a creature falls to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to expend a use of Bardic Inspiration. The creature gains a number of hit points equal to the number rolled + your Charisma modifier.

Infectious Dancing

Your skills at dancing have reached their maximum potential. Starting at 14th level, once per long rest you can cast Otto's Irresistible Dance at its lowest level. When you cast this spell roll a d4. Choose additional creatures equal to the number rolled. These creatures are also under the effect of the spell.
