Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards are generally very laid back and joyage people. There are however those who take this a step further. These bards want to spread joy and laughter to others, to make the world seem like a better place. Some see humor as the best way to do this and have combined their music with comedy. Many who follow this Circle stay in the cities and villages, making the lives of those who live there a bit brighter. Some, however, do go out on adventures. They either see it as a way to spread the joy or they want to ease the burden of an adventuring group. Either way, having a Circle of Comedy bard in the group can help to make the journey more fun, and though they don’t seem serious, they can actually  be handy in a fight.

Disarming Humor

Starting at 3rd level, you can use your comedy to defuse the tension. You know the Calm Emotion spell, it counts as a bard spell for you and it isn’t counted toward your spells known. Furthermore, you can cast it without expending a spell slot by expending a use of your Bardic inspiration. If you cast it this way, you can only use it to charm.

Comedic Timing

Also at 3rd level, you are able to quickly turn your failures into hilarious antics. When you roll a 1 on any attack, save or check roll, you don’t only fail whatever you were doing, but you can also direct your comedic charms towards a creature within 30ft of you that can see you. That creature has disadvantage on any attack, save or check it makes until the end of turn.

Just Kidding

Starting at 6th level, your comedic charms are always present, even in your magic, making you seem almost harmless. When a creature succeeds in a saving throw against a non-damaging bard spell of yours, its attitude against you doesn’t change. For example, when you try to use the Charm Person spell on a guard and he succeeds on his Wisdom save, he just laughs it of as a joke.

Hilarious Spells

Starting at 14th level, you can accompany your spells with a joke to distract your target. When you cast a spell that forces a creature to make a saving throw, you can expend a use of your bardic inspiration. Roll the die and detract the number from the creatures save roll.
