Base Class: Barbarian
The Axe Master has, you guessed it, mastery over the Axe. When you choose this skill you gain proficiency for all things that you do with the axe. This extends to Hatches, Tomahawks and other things of that nature. (Choose this subclass at 3rd level)
At 3rd level your character gets +1 to strength or dexterity, and you gain the feat Dual Wielder. (When throwing axes your AC bonus from Duel Wielder is not reduced.) You can also draw a weapon with each hand as part of the same action, and whenever you attack with a weapon you can draw that weapon as part of the same attack, even if you have done so before this turn. (Any Axe that you can dual wield you can throw.) (Chart in Class Features.)
At 6th level all axes you use become Finesse Weapons. Also at this point you have gained the favor of Clangeddin Silverbeard, otherwise known as Lord of the Twin Axes, The Giantkiller, or The Father of Battle. Clangeddin Silverbeard is a Dwarven Deity known for his axes, battle and his hatred for giants. But what he Values most is honor and loyalty, and despises treachery, and deceit. So he grants your character with the ability to make any axe you throw return to you by saying the word: Return
At 10th level your character becomes deadly accurate with axes. Your weapons attack rolls of 19 and 20 become critical hits. Also, your characters appreciation for battle grows as does Clangeddin's respect for you grows, your character can now Duel Wield Great Axes.
(Return ability is in the class features.)
At 14th level any axe you use, has the Giant Slayer's effect as shown:
You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
When you hit a giant with it, the giant takes an extra 2d6 damage of the weapon's type and must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or fall prone. For the purpose of this weapon, "giant" refers to any creature with the giant type, including ettins and trolls.
(The giant slayer effect only works when your Character is the one using it, it does not have the effect when it is not in use, or if another person tries to use it. The power comes from your character. If you plan on throwing your axe however, the effect still stays, though only if the axe does not travel more than 20ft from your character.)
Wielder Of Axes
At 3rd level your character gets +1 to strength or dexterity, and you gain the feat Dual Wielder. (When throwing axes your AC bonus from Duel Wielder is not reduced.) You can also draw a weapon with each hand as part of the same action, and whenever you attack with a weapon you can draw that weapon as part of the same attack, even if you have done so before this turn. (Any Axe that you can dual wield you can throw.)
