Monk
Base Class: Monk

Become in tune with the ki of one's self and their opponents to predict the future.

Art of Foresight

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can look into the future and give yourself the best chance to strike an opponent. When a creature moves within 30 feet of you, you can use your reaction to cast true strike.

Seeker of Omens

Beginning at 3rd level, you gain the ability to cast spells. A spell cast this way requires you to spend ki points each time you cast it.

Choose three divination spells from any classes. A spell you choose must be of a level you can cast, as shown on the Way of Changes table.

You learn two additional divination spells from any class at 6th level, 11th level and again at 17th level.

Spellcasting

See the Spellcasting section for the general rules of spellcasting. To cast one of these spells, you expend a ki point for each spell level. You must use its casting time and other rules.

You can spend additional ki points to increase the level of a spell that you cast, provided that the spell has an enhanced effect at a higher level, as burning hands does. The spell’s level increases by 1 for each additional ki point you spend. For example, if you are a 11th level monk and to cast mind spike, you can spend 3 ki points to cast it as a 3rd level spell (the spell’s base cost of 2 ki points plus 1).

The maximum level you can spend to cast a spell in this way is determined by the Highest Spell Level column, as shown in the Way of Changes table.

Prescient Defense

At 6th level, sending ki infused strikes grants you insight into their attacks. Whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, that creature has disadvantage on attack rolls against you until the start of your next turn. If they manage to hit you, this feature ceases to function for that creature. This feature also ceases to function while you are incapacitated, restrained, or otherwise unable to move.

Claimed Potential

At 11th level, you gain the ability to absorb life energy from creatures you kill. When you reduce a hostile creature to 0 hit points, you gain ki points equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1). You don’t gain this benefit for killing constructs or undead.

Collapsing Probability

At 17th level, you have mastered your sense of the future. You can spend 8 ki points to cast the foresight spell on yourself.
