Champion (Reworked)

The archetypal Champion focuses on the development of raw physical power honed to deadly perfection. Those who model themselves on this archetype combine rigorous training with physical excellence to deal devastating blows.

Physical Expertise

You've not only honed your physical capabilities, but have also learned the proper know-how to perform physical tasks excellently. When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Acrobatics and Athletics skills. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses either of those proficiencies.

Remarkable Athlete

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain the ability to climb and swim faster than normal; climbing and swimming no longer costs you extra movement.

In addition, when you make a running jump, the distance you cover increases by a number of feet equal to your Strength modifier.

Peerless Dexterity

Starting at 7th level, you've become not only adept in feats of power, but grace as well. You gain proficiency in Dexterity saving throws if you don't already have it. In addition, your movement speed is increased by 10 feet.

Powerful Build

At 10th level, you've become strong that you can easily carry more than a person of your size should. You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.

Devastating Blows

You've combined your rigorous martial training with your supreme physical excellence, allowing you to deal devastating attacks. At 15th level, your weapon attacks and unarmed strikes deal an extra 1d6 of damage of the attack's type.

At 18th level, this damage increases to 1d8.

Survivor

At 18th level, you attain the pinnacle of resilience in battle. At the start of each of your turns, you regain hit points equal to 5 + your Constitution modifier if you have no more than half of your hit points left. You don’t gain this benefit if you have 0 hit points.
