During the beta test of D&D Beyond, we'll only be including content that is freely available in the D&D 5th edition SRD and D&D 5th edition Basic Rules and will not include additional content from a Commercially Released Book or Supplement.
All of the remaining published content from the PHB, DMG, MM and other D&D 5th edition books will be added to D&D Beyond for product release - the cost for accessing this material has not yet been announced.
This is a seriously tiny nitpick, but the thumbnail for Black Pudding on the search/list view seems off, since it centers the "screaming orc" part of the artwork rather than the more recognizable "black pudding" part of it.
Oh, I get that, I'm not saying they're using the wrong image for the thumbnail, an orc instead of a pudding. They've already got the same art that's used in the Black Pudding entry in the MM. It just happens that this artwork features two monsters--one devouring another--and the thumbnail seems to be focusing on the wrong part of the art.
I would really like the ability to invert the filter criteria: i.e. search for monsters WITHOUT a fly speed / swim speed (to help, for instance, one of my players who is new and just hit level 2 on her druid). Obviously, I can come up with the list myself by filtering for things with the other types of movement, and then just ignoring the ones I want... I would just prefer not to. :)
First time posting here. Made a quick search in this thread and in general bugs section but haven't found it so I imagined I'd post it:
BUG:Duplicate monster entries fetched by filtering.
While searching through Monsters List I've tried to find beasts with max CR = 1, capable of walking, burrowing, climbing and swimming. The results were, as portrayed:
As you can see, some of the entries are doubled (I guess it's about monsters which have two different speeds in their entries, they are listed once for each speed)/

I would love the ability to pin monsters (whether canon or homebrew) to a quick reference dashboard. Perhaps a customizable Encounter Table (which I think was mentioned as a possible feature but I can't recall) or a simple customizable DM Screen section where I could save off some monsters I know I'm going to have to reference during a game

Starred items (or "favorites") are definitely coming. We also intend to add "lists" (think Amazon wish lists) where you can group different kinds of content together. I might even say that we will use a concept like this to allow folks on the DMs Guild to share their content via a URL in such a manner down the road...

Does anyone know if we'll be able to adjust and customize monsters in one of the next phases?
Like if I wanted to adjust the difficulty of one of the monsters for my group?
I think you'll be able to do that in phase 3. If not, it'll be shortly after release. This is something the devs have noted WILL be in the tools.

You've never seen the mysterious orc pudding?
Right now the majority of the images are filler images. All actual images will be in upon full release.
Edit: Oh - I see what you're saying. lol - Lemme pass this on to the Staff just in case they aren't aware.

Seems to be a typo in Commoner's language section:

Great site! Keep up the good work. :)
Just want to mention that the oni's innate spells aren't tooltipped.

Just looking at shambling mound. Pretty sure the picture is a modron.
Not all images are in yet. D&D Beyond staff has promised we'll be getting oodles of pictures upon final release though!
