I’m betting that is not part of the SRD. You will be able to buy the book it’s from at release. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I think you should be able to buy just the backgrounds.
Still owned and licensed by WotC, and DDB would have to pay licensing fees to use it without any income currently. Only the free stuff is being referenced right now, so SRD, Basic Rules and Elemental Evil Companion.
But Guild Artisan is a basic background. It should be an option.
edit: Well I guess it will be worth it to purchase it once it is released.
For the beta, only the rules and options provided in the D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, Elemental Evil Companion are available in Beyond. Once the full platform launches later this summer, the core rule books and others will be available for purchase, and the content within will be available for those that purchase, or have access through a DM's subscription.
Guild Artisan is NOT part of the basic Rules or the SRD, it is however apart of the PHB. One of the things to be aware of is that the PHB/DMG/MM does not equal the Basic Rules. Yopu can read up on the basic Rules and the SRD in the links I've provided.
When I create a character I can only select swirfneblin magic and grappler as feats, no other feat from the feat list is available. Was this issue arleady discussed? are there plans to solve it? Thanks

It doesn't appear the the different ioun stones don't apply their ability modifiers to their respective scores while attuned. I've tried this with the Agility stone and the mastery stone. I'm also aware that the mastery stone was fixed in the latest update (and that Prof isn't really an ability score). I just wanted to get it out there that a similar bug is affecting the other stones.
On the personality/background page: a suggestion. Add a drop menu under personality/ideals/bonds/flaws to allow players to choose from the srd/phb options- either from the entire list, or from their chosen background- while also allowing the current option of typing in anything. Only having the option to manually type in content seems cumbersome and counterintuitive.
Enjoying the current incarnation of the site, and looking forward to finished product. :)
Maybe this isn't in your plans, but some kind of RNG system for rolling stats would be nice. Also could have one apply to starting gold.
Beyond that, I would echo previous posts concerning equipment UI. Some kind of filtering system- much like the one already in place on the Items part of the site- would be cool. Love the way the equipment works once you have already added it to your character sheet, though. Just the adding it process is not so good.
Just created a rogue and it had me select 3 abilities for the rogues proficiency expertise rather than 2. And theives tools was not an option for tool proficiency.
It would be great when building a character if it popped up a message warning you that duplicate proficiencies had been selected. For example, when building a rogue, you might select a proficiency in Deception when selecting your class proficiencies. However later when selecting a background, you might select "Criminal" background which grants you a proficiency in "Deception." Some sort of message warning you that you have duplicate proficiencies and suggesting you go back to choose a new proficiency at the Class stage would be useful, especially to new players. Also greying out options that your character already has or can no longer choose based on your other selections would be a useful guide.

"Magical Secrets" and "Additional Magical Secrets" show switched in the Bard Abilities progression. In other words, "Additional…" shows first at 6th level, and every other entry at later levels (10, 14…) has just "Magical Secrets".

Magical Secrets is a class feature and Additional Magical Secrets is a subclass feature. At a guess, you can't tell because there's only one subclass included in the D&D Beyond beta.

That's a great idea!

So, will this be available as an app purchase or would it be a subscription service?
For a Life Domain Cleric when you reach level 2 doesn't show the Channel Divinity - Preserve Life it just shows Channel Divinity - Turn Undead.

Just reporting this issue for the warlock.

Choosing the pact of the tome does not let you add the three cantrips and the rituals.
When will the other oaths be available for Paladin? I am Oath of the Ancients
