As BadEye said elsewhere, they're not giving dates for delivery of specific functionality after launch, as that allows them to re-prioritise in response to community requests.
I think some others have remarked on this, but I'd really like if a magic item would show its charges, even if those charges aren't for use on a spell. Ring of the Ram, for instance, doesn't display its available charges anywhere on the character sheet.
I received this note for my Northman Seer from a Moderator, even though both the Northman and Northman Bowman were approved for publishing. I don't think the Moderator read the entry and jus rejected it because it had been submitted with my 5 variants of Hide armor which I will rework for those of us that hate the Sword Coast campaign setting, not just because the creator is the same guy that killed Chewy in the first book of the first trilogy of the New Jedi Order, there is always going to be arguments because someone has read the books about Drizzt Do'Urden. If you create a non descript world it ends the debate. Then there are people like me that would play Rangers and Pick Drow as their favorite enemy and be Bowman just to be able to kill Drizzt since Rangers cant detect evil at will like Paladins.

(Moderator's Note: We understand variations of items of spells/items/monsters can be used in home games but minor changes cannot be submitted for public homebrew viewing. Feel free to use these privately. The series of Northman Hides (+0 to +5) are only Magical Hide Armor. You are welcome to use these privately in your own characters/campaign, but they do not offer enough variation from standard Hide or Hide +1/2/3 to warrant publishing to the public homebrew lists. If there is a back story you wish to share, I'd recommend posting in the Homebrew section of the forums to share the Northman tribes background and history. )

Here's a question for the mods. I also started a thread in the Homebrew & Houserules forum in case users have already figured it out. Is there a way to create a magic weapon that is +1 vs. anything, but +3 against a certain class of things that will work with the character sheet? That kind of magic item was not uncommon in early editions, but I don't recall seeing something like it in 5e. I tried to build something, but it looks like the two modifiers are adding together on the sheet.

I would love to have that option. My current campaign is built around fighting fiends and having that option open in homebrew would be great.

I think this is a purposeful design change for 5th edition.
As you say, such weapons were seen a LOT during previous editions of the game and are absent in 5e.
Instead, the approach appears to be to add an additional damage type to the weapon attack.
As an example the Flame Tongue weapon adds 2d6 flame damage.
This means that any creatures that are vulnerable to fire damage will take more damage from attacks by that weapon.

The only item that i can see that is kind of similar to this is the Dwarven Thrower
It add an additional 2d6 against only Giants
Maybe make a copy of it in home brew and see if you can replicate the way that it makes it work and rather than add extra damage dice, add a straight up modifier
When homebrewing magic weapons the tool requires that you select a base weapon, which I understand but is causing me an issue at the moment.
So that my character sheet can list each specific type of Arrow of Slaying separately on the sheet I went into the homebrew section and selected "Arrow of Slaying" as my template, changed what I needed to and then clicked save only to see in red text "You must select a weapon type.". Arrows (and by extension bolts and bullets) do not appear on the list of valid weapon types.
If I change the base item type to "Item" I run into a similar problem but for item types.
It would be incredibly useful to have "Ammunition" or the specific ammunition types added to the weapon type lists. It would also be useful to have that list include any homebrew mundane weapons in your collection.
Spell slot scaling for homebrew spells does not appear to be working. Created a new spell with damage scaling and when I added it in the character sheet the damage did not change when changing the spell level. Thinking I'd input something wrong I created a copy of Burning Hands and added the Ranger class to the list of classes.
Going back to my Ranger, I added my modified Burning Hands only to find that the scaling doesn't work. Creating a Wizard character with both the official and modified Burning Hands shows that the scaling only works for the official version of the spell.
Edit: Modifying the "At Higher Levels" option to select "Damage - Fire (3d6)" and then deleting the "Damage Fire" in "Modifiers" (which actually doesn't delete the modifier) causes the spell scaling to work in the character sheet. This seems an awkward work-around given the only modification I made to Burning Hands was to add a class.

Well, bummer... I get that there could be an interactive issue with Bounded Accuracy, even though I haven't seen it in my pen-and-paper games as yet. I'd seen the approach on the typical weapons like the your example, and I will come to grips with it. Thanks!
How do I go about adding in just bonus damage to a homebrew weapon? Using Bonus - Magic adds it to attack roll and damage roll, while using Damage - <Damage Type> doesn't even reflect it.
Edit: And the opposite for that matter, Attack rolls but not Damage rolls. Bonus - Melee Weapon Attacks gives it to all weapons.
The New Jedi Order books aren't Cannon, they EU or legacy I cant remember. Since there can never be a Jacen or Jania Solo or Anakin Solo who was piloting the Falcon while Han was trying to get Chewy to jump to the loading ramp he was standing on. We all know what happens in episode 7 so no spoiler alert needed
I really wish it wasn't. It will be gamed as these types of systems always are and it will be based more on politics and personality than quality or style. I don't see why things can't just be judged by how many people choose to add it to their homebrew collections.

What makes you think that wouldn't be gamed?

Hi Grimm_Ravenhaired,
I've moved your post from here, to this thread, as the thread you posted in was totally unrelated to your post.
I would also like to draw your attention to the Site Rules & Guidelines:

I'm also going to suggest updates to the Homebrew Rules & Guidelines, to include the following:
In short, apologies if you feel that you have been misled with regards to what is and isn't acceptable content for publically published homebrew.
As a note - the items you created - you can create these and use them within your own private campaigns, with no problem.

Why would you put a canon Star Wars spoiler in that post? Not all of us have read all the books yet.

Will there be (and if so, when will there be?) the option for homebrew classes? or at least sub-classes?
